The other problem with having the Old God Baby as a future protagonist is that Witch Hunt establishes that it's a boy. To my mind, that eliminates him from consideration.

That's the easiest thing in the world to retcon, but it's a clear sign Bioware didn't want to make the character - if it existed - into a PC.

You know there is nothing stopping Morrigian seducing Alistair or Loghain without the protagonist giving her permission. Honestly Bioware have retconned bigger things. Loghain in particular strikes me as someone who would enjoy it.

That can't happen because:

1) Alistair doesn't trust Morrigan at all. She even says it to you if you ask why don't she go to the him and she says he doesn't trust her.

2) They can't retcon it because for an OGB to exist, the Wardens must all be alive. If a Warden dies and theres an OGB, then how they hell did Warden die from killing the Archdemon?

3) Loghain would never enjoy laying with a witch. In fact, he seems pretty suicidal after becoming a Warden so he'd probably just tell Morrigan to get lost if she asked.

I hope it gets addressed somehow and not just a simple reference. It still should affect Morrigan in a huge way.

I doubt the kid is going to have much of a impact on the game.

but it would be cool to show up at Morrigans Room/House/Hut and see a little black haired boy playing on the floor with a wooden griffon. And just scroll over to him and he says a few cute quotes. like "I like it when mummy reads to me, but i only like the stories with griffons in them."

That or "Bow before your new god and be spared."

You don't actually think he is the EO, do you? because you know that isn't at all possible since half the players didn't make that choice. so in many games he doesn't exist and if he does exist even though no ritual was made, it would be the biggest F U BioWare has made to player choice since the Ending that shall not be named.

It can't be very pivotal. I never once romanced Morigan in my play throughs (hated the ******) and always turned down the ritual. That must be a choice in the keep, so they have to provide for the possibility of no child at all.

The normal non-Old God child will be recognized as it was a valid choice in DAO. To what degree? That's really a matter of speculation. I'm assuming since it doesn't have the soul of an Old God, it likely wouldn't be that relevant to the story.

If it becomes relevant and is in the keep as an option,I should think there will be some mention of the child (OGB or regular son).  Thinking just because Morrigan is present isn't a good enough reason for it since Inquisitor wouldn't know the principals involved.  It won't be mentioned unless there is cause for it.  Or maybe  you see a scene with her and the boy--who will doubtless favor his mom as appearances of different wardens may vary drastically and they will need to generalize the appearance to fit the story.

I wouldn't look for it.  This is Dragon Age not Nanny 911.  Inquisitor has a lot more on his/her mind with the veil tears than looking in on some stranger's child.

In the Keep there is the option to choose if Morrigan had the OGB (with any of the 3 options), or just a regular one (with Warden only, of course). I believe this was shown in the latest Twitch?

I convinced Alistair to go through the Dark Ritual so the baby is actually Alistair's.

Will Alistair be in DAI? I haven't played DA2 nor read any of the books so I don't know if anything happened to him. I just want an Alistair and Morrigan to talk about their child.

I hope the baby, be they OGB or normal, at least makes an appearance in Inquisition, even if it is only a brief cameo, I want to see what he/it looks like.

So if Alistair does the dark ritual with morrigan, that mean the OGB is also heir to the Ferelden throne...

Morrigan doesnt care about that though.

If you really wanted to you can find out about the OGB via google. See the latest post in news & announcements

Steve Valentine did some voice over work as Alistair for Inquisition. So he will be present, if alive, in some capacity.  I'm guessing in a small cameo.

What if it turns out that Morrigan is actually a very good and loving mother. They did say having a child would bring out her more human side.

There was a spoiler about the child somewhere, but we won't get into that.

I believe the voice actress was saying how Morrigan appears as more human in DA:I,
so perhaps her child has something to do with that. I like to believe that there's going to be some

kind of small plot in the game for those that chose to someone create a baby with her.

I don't understand, how she can have a normal baby, because if she is already pregnant before the last night, the ritual thing would be pointless.  She can't risk it to become pregnant before the ritual.
