Well 16GB isn't a necessity yet for gaming, but the amount of 64bit executables for games are slowly increasing so in theory those games can use more than 8GB of RAM. And games themselves are getting bigger (more Gigabytes that is) too. A higher amount of system memory means that more of the game can be cached into RAM for faster (re)loading of certain game areas (for example), provided the game supports 64bits ofcourse...

I'm guessing you needed to quote Thandal N'Lyman for this one, since he is the person just getting a GTX770.

Well i've been gaming on PC all my lfie, so 16GB is great to have and i  haven't seen any game utilizing beyond 8GBs and i'm gaming no a 64-Bit OS. You can read alot of reviews (with benchmarks) that you are safe to go with a GTX770 on 1080P on perhaps 60FPS. I went R9 290 because of Mantle and it's the same tier as GTX780 and i simply have a higher resolution 1440P. GTX770 is more affordable of course :).

Been really considering playing on Xbox One because I want to be first for any DLC that comes around...

Really I would like to get a PS4 first, but the promise of earlier DLC is really pushing me in that direction.

If it were a week or 2 delay thing I wouldn't mind but seeing as the huge Skyrim DLC debacle went down, I'm a little wary of trusting PS4 DLC anymore.

Either PS4 or 360, depending on how much of a fail the save import is this time around.

I don't think there is going to be a direct save import this time around.

It sounds like the DA:Keep is what will be used to set world states to import into DA:I.

Well, make sure you take into account other things you may want for either console. As long as it's a delay and not an exclusive, I don't think it should be a deciding factor.

PS4 for sure.

My PC is not able to run properly the next gen games and I don't have the money for a new gaming laptop.

If you wonder no I don't use a desktop PC.

Being a master race is expensive, will be a common guy from now on.

Considering the DLC for PS3 came out about 9 months later than its 360 cousin, it pretty much was exclusive....

For Skyrim, yeah, but was that a problem with Sony or Bethesda? (I don't actually know much about it)

Also mircosoft cleared it up from my understanding, they only get the first single player  story dlc first then its back to normal.

I have a question for everyone:
Is my laptop good enough to play Inquisition?
It's coming up on 3 years old..
I have a Nvidia GTX 560 (m?)
An i7 2670
4GBs of RAM
Is this enough? (Sorry, I cant be more specific, it's not with me atm.)
It plays Crysis 2 on the highest setting with good FPS... I think it's the Extreme setting.
It plays Skyrim on Ultra, on good days lol
It plays Witcher 2 on the highest setting (without ubersampling checked)

PS4 because upgrading my PC would be more expensive. This is the first time I'm gonna play a DA game on a console. I'm kind of scared.

Pc, I don't see why anyone would want to play a tactical rpg on a console.

If I remember right, skyrim's engine was having an issue with PS3's memory.

It should be able to run DA:I at least at medium or medium-high settings. Depending on your native resolution.

If I remember right, skyrim's engine was having an issue with PS3's memory.

If I remember correctly it had memory leak issues on the PC version as well, it took 2-3 weeks to be able to run it well on PC, especially with my MultiGPU AMD Radeon I had back then...

xbox one if I have the time and money to pick it up by then.  If not then I will get it for my 360.  This game however is enough for me to want to finally go out and upgrade to the new console generation.
