I wouldn't mind if it was like Dragon's Dogma where hair was plentiful and unisex.
Makeup too.
My man Inquisitor should be able to wear makeup if I damn well please. Like in Dragon's Dogma.
Doubly so if he's Orlesian. Orlesian men wear makeup.
Make it happen Bioware.
I agree. This seems like it should be easy enough to implement, and I don't see any reason to restrict your character.

I agree. Men have long/medium hair too, BioWare.

Also please work on not making facial hair awful, and the gaunt glitch from origins...

i really want curly hair this time.
I agree, including (no, especially) for dudes. I suppose they don't make curly hair because it has more fidelity to look good (as opposed to straight, which is done in textures 'sheets') but it annoys me everyone has straight, even hair. Sometimes the hair may have a bit of a ripple, and if you're lucky it may even be WAVY, but curly? Nope. That stuff is RARE. Seriously rare.
On the few occassions they do have curly hair, they have very tiny tight curls - specifically, they just have a lumpy 'block' textured to look like it has tiny curls in it, usually a fro or something.

Agreed.
Exactly! I have to say I was pretty jealous of Cailins hair style, it was very pretty. I also wouldn't object to some longer hair, for either gender. I think a nice long Laura Croft braid would make me the happiest in truth. But again if they don't make many new hairstyles I hope they learn how to do bangs properly. Everytime they attempt it, it looks like an afterthought. Like they are just painted on to the forehead. SMH

That's because there are no African Americans in Thedas.KC_Prototype wrote...
I agree, I know the consumer base for Dragon Age may not be as diverse as other games but I am African-American and I find it had to reflect that in Dragon Age.

I did a good job with what I have because I take like 20 minutes or so to create my player character. I want more fade haircuts with good hairlines, natural wave haircuts, fauxhawks, Mohawks you see some African-Americans have. And Yes, they need more hairstyles overall, for both men and women.
That's a good point; we complain a lot about not having long, lucious locks to choose from, but we also need more hairstyles appropriate for Black characters.

This I really, really don't agree with. I want important characters to be easily distinguishable as themselves, and I do not want the PC or any other character to use the same hairdo. That would just result in all characters looking more generic in my opinion. What I do want, however, is a fair number of unique hairstyles for the PC. Running around in a world where half of the people look exactly like my PC is not something that I enjoy much. I want to be a special snowflake.Chanda wrote...
I don't think npc's should have hair that is exclusive only to them. If Morrigan can have her hair up in a twist with bangs, my character should be able to have the same hairstyle.

Hair past the shoulders would take a lot of time and money to implement I think. There's also the fact that hair past the shoulders is pretty impractical for combat.KallianaTabris wrote...

Why is Bioware afraid of long hair? I've never played ME, but FemShep's hair is bleh in that picture.. Is it all in the name of keeping the character's hair practical so it doesn't get wrapped around an enemy's fists? Or is it just that difficult to make long hairrr? ;_;
its not very difficult to make i think they may not wanna do it because of the clipping if they make flowing hair in the wind but they dot have to make it move with the wind id be happy if its static and moves just with the body and if its weighted right it wont clip that much as apposed to felxible hair that u have to work on the collision so it wont go into the mesh
