Hydra is much easier if you get low on the far side of the map from the LZ at the start of each wave. Head high cover, right hand advantage all over the place. High ground doesn't count for too much when it only has waist high cover and very little RHA anywhere. Much easier to control the spawns if you start low.

Because they actually listen to the announcer when he says "Get to the LZ!".

Two at the ctrl room, two by the LZ with occasional over the shoulder look.

Why do PUGs spread out all over the map causing the spawns to be all wonky? The world may never know.

Wait, don't you get extra creds if you hold the LZ on extraction wave?

This has been a mystery since Hydra was released months and months ago. There is no good answer.

Because PUGs.

Conventionally, it's not a good idea to be at the LZ on any map. But then again, pugs.

I am a pug and can confirm that I like it there on earlier waves.

I'm rather glad they do. If I see the pug swarm gather at the LZ, I jump right in there with them. It's fun to end Hydra in as frantic a way as possible.

Yeah that spot is dumb as hell to try and hold if you're not infiltrators with the ability to pass aggro around. Trying to reach and revive any of 3 people lying down on the LZ and about to bleed out can easily cost me medigel against the shooty factions due to the bleed out timer constraint. Nowadays, i tend to leave them there to bleed out unless i'm really close by
