As to avoid spoilers in the tipoic I put dragons, to be more specific, the witch of the wilds ;)
How the hell if it even possible to hit her once I mean she wiped me out in less than a minute!

Select a character, target her, attack. I'm sure you're bound to hit her eventually.

Use ranged attacks instead of melee, she doesn't leave the ledge and she deals fire damage at a much slower rate than melee damage (particularly if you use a greater warmth balm). It's boring but 4 ranged PCs spread out around the base the ridge (so only one gets damaged by the fire spit attack) take her out quickly with a minimum of healing.

The whole Wade's line of armours come with some spiffy fire resists.

She also gets relatively easier as your level gets higher (and you have better gear, better understanding of the game combat, more spells/talents, etc.).

What Mousestalker said. You can do that encounter whenever, so stock up on fire resist stuffs before heading out. Also, spread your ranged attackers out so she can't get more than one at a time.

Yea just boost up Fire Resistance and she is pretty easy.  You can take direct Fireball hits and live for a fairly long time with only a resistance around 25%.

Just stay away and attack from a distance.

Shale with Stoneheart and your best Fire Crystal. Force Field him/her if you feel like it. Worked for me.

I took her down right after the Sacred Urn, thought she might have some more scales for me, no such luck.

And requires you to kill an even tougher dragon to get it.

For dragons in general:

Don't bunch up.

Attack from distance as much as possible.

Have LOTS of Health poultices, Heal spells, and Group Heal spells handy.

Any Rogue really needs to get behind the dragon.

A dragon is soooo big, it will absorb the entire blast of any bomb. (Which a Rogue can toss from Stealth.)

Cone of Cold generally works quite well. (Gives you 10 second or so where it is not attacking you.)

No, it requires you to kill all the Drakes in the cave. Which are relative easy if you know what you're doing

The low end stuff, light armor mostly. The medium, heavy and massive ones require the dragon scale.  Also, as soon as you make your 2nd set od drakeskin, herran's inventory is no longer for sale.

Actually, I don't believe he cuts you off until he makes the armor with the dragon scale.

I believe the sequence that the designers envisioned was
1st set, drakescale
2nd set drakescale
1st set dragon scale

The first time I had Wade do my armors, I couldn't locate 2 of the drake scales.  So I only got 1st drake and 1st dragon.  AND Herrin never cut me off.   The next time it went down 1, 2, 3 and _then_ Herrin cut me off.

Uh, you're welcome?

Out of curiosity, just how is it that we were supposed to already know _your_ level of expertise?

There are about 50 threads on how to kill this "impossible" enemy or that...I'm sure you'll need some of the others at some point, so feel free to use the seach function rather than vent your frustration by beginning a new thread for something which has already been created and vetted...

I usually played with a melee tank (shield wall to prevent most knockdowns and lotsa health potions and spells - then just sit tight), but my most recent attempt with my rogue was quite interesting; for some reason my rogue's aggro kept beating Alistair's, even with Alistair's threat and taunt. Flemeth kept turning back to face me while I tried to get behind her for backstab. I kept on circling like this for a while, not dealing as much damage as I would have liked before she turned to me again and I had to move on, and my other party members just weathered her down.

But seriously, don't ask for advice and then do "not be bothered" to at least consider it. Disregarding your non-noobness, applying some strategy and not just charging blindly in *may* allow you to survive longer than "less than a minute".
