Yes, I'm talking about Myrkul.
I would like to know from a "lore" perspective what is the difference between:
1- Devouring his soul
2- Eternal resting his soul
Also another thing I wonder about. Even if you drain him , will his bones and skulls get life sooner or later, because you glorify him?
And on that matter. If you do the ultra evil ending (you basically devour everyone) Myrkul will live on as one of your essence on your bag? O_O
Question about the god who cursed the betrayer

Myrkul isn't necessarily permanently 'dead' anyway. Many of Faerun's gods hide a portion of their essence in an artefact (or their offspring) in case they get 'killed'. In Myrkul's case it's an artefact called the Crown of Horns, which he could conceivably be resurrected from.
In MotB you get the chance to devour or release the small portion of Myrkul's essence that still clings to his astral remains. Gods in the Forgotten Realms aren't really single beings with a single soul though. They can be split into separate deities, combine together to form a new deity, or be reborn in a different form from a 'dead' deity. Draining the essence from one source doesn't stop them returning from another bit of stored essence somewhere else.
