ok im getting close on reaching dragon age 2 i know right took me this long too reach it , now i wanna know if theres anything different between leveling up then how it was in origins.
by that i mean i made my rogue assassin 20 Strength , 36 Dex And just Max Cun will that level system for my rogue still work in this game or are things alot different where the best light armor is higher then 20 or Cunning isn't your strength anymore

Cunning is not Strength any more, but basically the system works the same.
Stat synopsis can be seen here.
Edit: armor is restricted to your character, although it may still have stat/level restrictions (Dex/Cun for rogue armor, Strength is useless for rogues). Companions have their own gear that cannot be changed.
Lock/Trap picking is based entirely on Cunning, there is no longer any Deft Hands talent tree for that. And only rogues can do that, warriors/mages can only pick their noses regardless of their cunning.

Strength for warrior.
Dexterity for rogue.
Magic for mage.
They have made it beautifully simple.

Or rather, primary attribute to 100.
Left over points to DEX/CUN.
