Initially, based on The Fires Above trailer, I was against it, but after seeing her in the PAX demo, I've grown to like it.

I like her new look. I was fed up with all the women of DA having pointy little chins all the time as it is. Though the excessive "wahhh she looks like a dude/how dare she have strong features" whining really emphasizes the waif appearance many people want their women to be.

I like it, she looks like a hardened soldier while still having an attractive quality to her.

I'd say there's plenty of room for improvement, but on the positive side, she still looks a fair bit better than Aveline, so at least there's that. But I don't like the general idea that female warriors can't be beautiful, that seems to be the thinking judging by the appearances of Aveline and now Cassandra. I'd say make her look awesome, don't settle for 'better than Aveline', make her one of the most attractive women in the game!

For me personally, I was a little thrown at first. But I'm gradually accepting it, as it does seem to represent a more real her. And I'm sure from what we've seen, that isn't the final touch up on her. I think if they just clean her up a bit, it would look really good. So I guess I'm saying... Yay?

Her jaw is disproportionate to her neck. I think that's the big issue. She has a dainty, thin neck and this massive ****-off sized jaw. Aveline by contrast had a neck that supported her jawline, so it didn't look weird.

Either tone the jaw down or beef up Cassandra's neck, I say.

Cassandra's design was changed like 1532812 times over the course of DA2's development. She looked different every time we saw her (although I do really miss the slicked back long black hair) and there's still time for them to fiddle around with her appearance before DA3 ships.

I also believe that because most video games churn out so many unnaturally beautiful women, that when you see someone who DOESN'T fit the golden ratio - all hell breaks loose.

Heaven forbid a woman not fit your unfair standard of beauty in a video game. If she were male no one, and I mean no one, would complain about his features not being unnaturally beautiful.

This whole thread is absurd. Yay or nay? This is not a beauty contest. I hope nothing changes about her because there is nothing to change.

Who said it is a beauty contest? People are giving their opinion on Cassandra's new look, and they have the right to do so. I was also disappointed because I still had her DA2 appearance in mind, but she's slowly growing on me. Same as Morrigan. It has nothing to do with being "unnaturally beautiful" or not, it's the transition to a new engine. The differences are unsettling at first.

I like her now more than ever, really. She has a more serious look, seems fierce enough and (I know this sounds odd), reminds me of Morrigan somehow. Maybe she is not pretty or beautiful like other females (Bethany, Merrill, Isabela, Leliana....) who fit the ideal of beuty perfectly, but she has a unique look.

Cassandra is beautiful to me. Her voice and accent is a nice contrast to her masculine features. If only I came across a woman like her...

Its always about being a beauty contest when any female's looks is brought up apparantly. You can't critique a single thing without a response of "Zomg shez fine as she is!"  And before anyone has a go at me for that, I think she looks good. I like.

I'm not sure what your point is actually. Yes, you can criticize another person's opinion, but what would that achieve? Except prove that people have different opinions?
