Cassandra's new look--Yay or Nay?

The only thing I would say looks a bit "off" in Cassandra's face is her eyebrows & browline. The browline protrudes a little too far IMO, and her eyebrows are a bit too arched & appear harshly tweezed.
While I understand the need to age her character, I was not pleased with the changes to Morrigan's face, as I felt she no longer looked like herself. Her nose was flattened and changed to point downward like an arrow, and her mouth was thinned and widened too much. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd be curious to see how it would look to trade/switch Morrigan's and Cassandra's noses and mouths. Just for funsies!

Not sure if this has been mentioned, since I didn't read through the thread. If so, I apologize for being redundant, but in the new Xbox magazine, it showed a screenshot of Cassandra and her jaw wasn't wide at all. It looked quite normal. In fact, she looked much, much softer.
Hmm, has this pic been uploaded yet?
I'm not sure, tbh and Bioware discourages posting scans. It's in the issue with Watch Dogs on the cover.

Not so much.
Why complain when I could just pretend I like the new look Cassandra's looks ?
rolls eyes.
Ultimately it won't make any difference.
People who preferred her earlier look, if the game is judged to be good will still buy it.
Wonder how different she'll look with Frostbite 4.
shrugs.

Yeah... seems you missed the point of what I meant. What I was saying was perhaps you can't let go of Morrigan's old look because of your fandom for her and can't accept any other concept of what she looks like. That being your reason for complaining.
You seem to think the reason people like the new look of Morrigan and Cassandra is because we think Bioware does no wrong-- which is a false presumption. Especially in my case. I simply don't think the new look is so vastly different as to draw any concern from me, and other people have said the same.

Sorry if I seemed abrasive .
Yes I have memories of watching Farscape when it first showed up on tv and I became a Claudia Black fan. Luv that voice .
So yes I plead guilty to being a Morrigan fan and thus I prefer her DAO looks.
That's something I have a right to.
Will it change DAI for me if they don't change her face.
Maybe game play wise.
If she's in danger and my Inquisitor has a chance to save her life, I probably won't do so unless it affects the game's ending.
I will still buy the game but it'll probably affect my Inquisitor's relationship with Morrigan .
I expect some players will criticize me for saying this.
shrugs.
Since other players ,notably those stabbed her at the Eluveon, say they still intend to try to kill Morrigan if they have the chance, my stance on Morrigan shouldn't be considered controversial or worthy of condemnation .
smiles.

What are you people on? I'm not trying to pick a fight as much as I am just baffled over the obsession and over analysis of this woman's face. This is just part of the reason why Bioware fans have a less than ideal reputation.

Hey! As a woman with a big jaw, myself, I must advocate on behalf of Cassandra's pretty looks. Our facial features come in all shapes and sizes.
You don't have a big jaw. Who told you you have a big jaw? I wouldn't even have stared at your jaw if you didn't tell me, and even still I don't think it's big.
I want off this crazy planet. On one side you got people complaining about video game characters looking too sexed up, and on the other side you got people complaining about a woman's jawline and forehead. I can't take it man.

Yes the Jennifer Hepler thing was bad.I agree it was.
The complaints about ME3 were entirely justified.
Go to an sf convention and talk to some authors. They can tell you some horror tales about truly evil fans they've met.
I could describe an incident I was told about but won't .
Too far off topic.
There are out of control fans in every genre.
shrugs.
Everybody has their own sense of what the characters should look like and I'll leave it at that.

If I'm gonna have tank in the party, she better look rugged. This aint final fantasy.

Oh this ''ideal''. Have you ever read a beauty magazine? So many ideal faces there...and they're all boring and completely forgettable.

Because Alistair was so rugged looking? And in that case, where's all the scars? The missing teeth? The faint but unmistakable shade of a mustache from all her raging testosterone?

Sweet, Beautiful, Character and tougher. Or something like that.
I liked em all as they were.
But i admit some of the mods made a 2nd playthrough - totally awesome and new.
As for voice, I think they have done simply outstanding selections in the past.
Getting back to topic.
Cassandra looks great. My Inquisitor approves.

You're fine. Any guy that notices something like that is probably very shallow. I remember when I played DA2 I wanted to romance Aveline because of how much I liked her personality and what she stood for. Then I found out she can't be romanced, and even later found out the Bioware went outta their way to not make her attractive. Go figure.Trista Hawke wrote...

Althought I can imagine if I was a girl with a big jawline and I saw a bunch of people on the BSN go "Ew! Look at that big jaw on Cassandra. Get rid of it Bioware!" I wouldn't feel too good about myself. This is one reason I'm kinda irritated by this thread.

That's miles different. You're a real life person. You don't look weird at all. Cassandra is a 3D person that looks WEIRD.

My point was that Alistair was the obviously intended tank because he came with Sword and Shield abilities. Just like Avaline in DA2, and just like Cassandra in DA:I.

Well we don't really know that. Cassandra has been seen with a two handed sword in other screenshots. Perhaps they're actually letting us respec our companions whenever we want? Except for Varric, he has to use Bianca.

Alistair was a young unexperienced whelp. Cassandra has tons of battles under he belt.
