This lack of consistency between how she looks in DA2, DA:DOTS and DAI trailer is not something I like. Personally like a look somewhere between DA2 and DA:DOTS. DAI, her big jawline is a turn off.
DoTS Cass would look ridiculous translated in game. Teeny weeny nose, huge eyes, and no jawline at all. Which is great for that style of art, but would really strange anywhere else.
I think she looks great, the only thing that really seemed different to me was her coloring. Her hair and skin seemed a lot lighter to me.

The jaw's a little hard and wide in comparison to DA2, but she actually looks pretty solid.

I actually don't have a problem with her jawline at all. It gives her a more badass look.
Antje Traue for example, the actress who plays Faora in Man of Steel also has a wide jawline but still looks really sexy and badass in my eyes. She looks like the real life version of Cassandra.

That's kind of creepy how much the DO look alike... So, somehow Cassandra lives on beyond DA and comes back to fight against Superman? I suppose it could happen.

For example the elves. They are getting a redesign again and I am sure they will look fine. I just hate how it seems the elves change into a new species game from game. It break my immersion for a bit as I get this sort of cognitive dissonance.
Oh THATS supposed to be Alistair? That's supposed to be the elves? You know what I mean?

What I like about DOTS was not so much the exact features of her face. It's the long hair I thought would look good on her. Matt Rhodes originally drew her concept art to have long hair, but because in-game limitations, the short hair was a compromise. Also, in DOTS she has a stronger no nonsense seriousness about her that was stronger than in DA2 IMO.
To each his/her own I guess.

Many of my favorite actresses have "strong" jaws, like Lucy Lawless and Michelle Forbes. I don't see a problem with that feature.

I get what you mean. DA as a series could use some more consistency in it's visuals.Nashiktal wrote...
I don't like the new look. That's more of me getting tired of the lack of consistency rather than hating the actual look.

At least Cassandra looks generally the same as she did in DA2.

Yay. She looks great. Tough and pretty, perfect balance.
Agreed. I'm not totally convinced on Morrigan's new look but think Cassandra looks perfect.

Hopefully we get a tough Warrior Woman to romance this time round.

I just hope that they get her DA2 VA back.
Dear god no. That accent is cringeworthy.
