She looks like a bobblehead. =D I still love her.<3

BY JOVE, THAT'S IT!
Something bothered me about her design but it wasn't what I thought. It's not the jaw, it's the neck - it's too thin for her face structure and that's what makes her jaw (the closest part of her face to the neck) seem disproportionate.

I'd still like to see a frontal shot of her to make a final judgement. Maybe next teaser/trailer?

Also, she's what, around 40 at this point in the story?

Somewhere between mid-thirties and forty.

Again with Cassandra's jaw.
She looks *amazing* in the trailer. Bioware do not change her at all, please.

I think all three returning characters in the trailer looked exceptional, much better than in their original games. I also think Mr. Gaider was right about people putting too much focus (and criticism) on the appearance of female characters.

My only issue with Cassandra's appearance (if you can call it that, I don't really care either way), is that she looks 14 to me in the trailer.  MORRIGAN looks like she's pushing 40 but still Hawt.  CASSANDRA went from looking late 20's early 30's in DA2 to looking 14.  Maybe that was just an artifact of the lighting.

I liked Varric better when his eyes were closer together and his jaw more pronounced, but I can live with the new version particularly when I get to hear Brian Bloom's sweet sweet voice again.

lol a big nay. I think Bioware to show just how "progressive" they are, are going to make every single character a transexual.

This is a foolish statement.
Anyway, any real life woman resembling Cassandra would be considered to have supermodel good looks.

I think all of them look fine, but Cassandra doesn't look at all like she did in DA2. At all. I didn't recognize her in the trailer. Maybe it was just the lighting, but as it is I wish she had a more consistent appearance.

See a character at a different angle and BSN acts like its a completely different character and they must have changed something.

Isabela also had a "monster jaw". Oh wait, she doesn't, they just shot her from a low angle the one time.

Go to the bathroom, stand in front of the mirror, and look up.

Note to Bioware, never show female characters looking up!!11!!!!!!1!

I actually don't have a problem with her jawline at all. It gives her a more badass look.

Antje Traue for example, the actress who plays Faora in Man of Steel also has a wide jawline but still looks really sexy and badass in my eyes. She looks like the real life version of Cassandra.

Wow, that's uncanny - especially with that dark armor she's already wearing!

I can't get her friggin' jaw out of my head. :pinched:

I just went and watched the trailer and I think Morrigan and Cassandra both look fantastic, probably closer to the real life models they used.

Cassandra is a soldier, not a princess.  She looks like a soldier, yet she ain't ugly.
It's medieval times, not modern times.  Warrior women need to wear armor and carry heavy swords.  They must have at least 80lbs of equipment on them at nearly all time.  It's got to show in the body form at some point, and besides, if a girl decides to become a warrior in middle age times, one would expect her no to have a girly-girl look to start with.
A female middle-age warrior would be closer to a body builder than a dancer.

Morrigan is another matter.  She doesn't wear armor, she doesn't swing a broadsword she has a wooden staff.  So she's got to look more 'gracious', wich she does, imho.

Varric, if that's him though... well, this guy did have an extreme makeover on him.  I'm not sure what to think of his look, only that it doesn't really look like the Varric from DA2.  I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that it needs some getting used to :)

I just hope she looks like that in game.  I was a little disapointed with the Dragon Age trailer and the in game characters...

About now's the time to draw the jawline at discussing being not even remotely relevant to the story, background, lore or whatever it is that makes up a hopefully Origins-y DA. Hairlines, hair styles ets. Weightless carrots, all of them.
Also, Garrus's mandibles.

I liked her look in the DA2 intro the best. I am not too worried about the reveal look in the DAI trailer though, always tough to make a judgement from one cutscene. She is certainly better with black hair than the white hair version they had for a while.

I get what you're saying, I really do, and I agree. Thing is, all of that is irrelevant because you're talking about the body. Wearing 80 lbs of equipment almost all the time will develop muslce mass more than if you don't, yes, but you wear that equipment on your body, not your face. It also doesn't make your bone structure change, either. Saying Cassandra looks like a warrior because she wields a greatsword and wears a lot of armor can be applied only to her body and not her face. The face structure isn't influenced by the degree of training you go through, it's just something you're born with (or you adjust with the help of a professional, but I don't think there's plastic surgery in Thedas:lol:).

Anyway, I really want to see a frontal shot of her, now... and something that lasts more than 2 seconds.
