Sound is a crutch. Play on mute.
That really does make it harder...Been playing on headsets for the last 6 months...did that the other night for half a game. Then I untangled the cord, ah much better...

Aww I like violin. I finished elementary music school (6 years of piano), maybe I can play you something via teamspeak, since the piano is next to my computer :innocent:

Aww I like violin. I finished elementary music school (6 years of piano), maybe I can play you something via teamspeak, since the piano is next to my computer :innocent:blasphemy tiem but I am very picky about my piano music. I've always found pianos (especially the more modern they get, can you tell I'm a period performance nerd?) to be astoundingly clunky sounding despite their dynamic range.
That said, I really need to learn how to play piano myselfthere's no good reason I can't other than lack of interest in practicing because I will never be good enough
What do you mean you're picky? I frustrated my teachers in the music school because I didn't want to play 90% of the compositions they wanted me to

yup. while harpsichord was professional, the cellist was also a student and brand new to continuo, she did very well in this performance.

I play the guitar and a bit of keyboards but never played any of the 'classical' instruments. i used to be a symphony season ticket holder and went to the opera the odd time but gave that up a few years back. I should get back to the symphony.
Back on topic. One doesn't realize how much sound cues in ME mean until you get a glitched game where there is no sound. Very unsettling.

i played roughly one hundred hours on xbox using a PC monitor with no sound. The only mistake that you can really blame on not having sound for is the occasional sneaky banshee. Everything else is just you.Beerfish wrote...

Lot's of platinum experience with no sound telling me this. Sound is certainly not vital in this game.

Wow, that's very nice !
How do you find time to do all that ?
OT : what's the difference between a gaming headset and a studio headset ? I'm pretty happy with my old AKG K240 and I can't play without sound anymore.
