I don't care about romances.
I don't care about our characters' sexuality.
I don't want to "romance" the antagonist in a bed of roses to delay the end of the world.
I don't care if Cassandra's jaw is "too large" from that angle.
I don't care if there is a supposed "plothole" into §3.4 of chapter 5.
I don't care about nudity mods.
I don't care if Sondal doesn't say "Enchantment" every 5 secs.
I don't care about cosplay.
I don't care if Morrigan's skin is not PANTONE 0109-7C in this game.
I don't care about "mandatory" returning characters.
I don't care about fanservice and private jokes.
I won't kiss the bronto.

I care about gameplay, combat, maturity, storyline and lore.

I want a good game! (goddamnit)

Who's "we"? You got a mouse in your pocket

I do care about romances and my character's sexuality if DA:I didn't let me create an explicitly homosexual character, that would strongly impact my decision to purchase it.

Why do you people care about romances so much? They are usually the worst written parts of any Bioware game

I don't care about this thread.

The fanbase nowadays would be happy* with a Bioware Visual Novel that had some hamfisted politics in there for flavor.

*(How did make that bad of a spelling error jeez)

That's your opinion. I think the romances are written perfectly well.

I'm up to my ears in medieval fantasy RPGs as it is, I don't need or want any more. The only reason I ever picked up Dragon Age was because I heard you could roleplay as a gay character, and I specifically avoided Mass Effect because I knew it didn't offer that

I am a homosexual man and I want more homosexual characters in all forms of media. And not lame, stereotypical joke characters like Wade and Herren. I want the ****** to be the hero for a change, and I want him to get all the same content that a straight hero gets, up to and including sex scenes with his love interest.

And just what the **** do you mean by "you people"?

Don't start a debate comrade, choose a side!

This was meant to be a safe haven for players concerned about the quality of the game.
There's plenty of debates about those other aspects of the game already.

It this goes on, it will end up like every "Morrigan's hair... too long", "this plank should be a LI", "I want my character to like beans". WE DON'T CARE, RIGHT?

This is where we can hope a game that doesn't fit our whims but our most unexpected dreams!...

I thought that Wade and Herren were brilliant, they aren't stereotypical at all. Their dynamic comes off as two friends running a business: Ones a  picky 'artist" and stern businessman trying to make some decent money. They could be hold their own 90s sitcom actually.

Yes you're right. Without overwhelming fanservice, romances, LIs everywhere and another bone structure for Morrigan's face, Dragon Age will be like Call of Duty.

@OP:
We discuss the small things because there is too little known about the big things yet to even discuss, and because we all agree that we care about those big things. You won't find much controversy about those big things except maybe "We want combat to be more like DAO" vs. "We want combat to be more like DA2", and where there are no opposing opinions, there is no reason to discuss.

Besides, I actually care about some of those things you don't.

Whether or not they're together is irrelevent. Whether or not they are actually gay is also irrelevent, although Gaider later confirmed that both of those things are in fact the case.

The fact is that they fit every single stereotype of the effete, catty gay man, and if you don't notice that, it's probably because you haven't been bombarded with stereotypes about your sexuality for your entire life.

You want a "mature" game, but you don't want it to explore adult relationships in any way.

It sounds to me like Call of Duty is exactly what you're after.

I thought Wade and Herren are absolutely hilarious. I don't mind Wade being a bit catty and effeminine. There are gay guys out there who are actually like that. To think about it, there are straight guys, too. It's interesting to see a lot of people didn't associate Wade's personality with homosexuality and assuming that Wade and Herren were straight before Mr. Gaider clarified on the issue.
