Kinda hard to tell with a face like yours.

The Internet is serious business and Cthulhu42 is a business man which means that he doesn't mess around on here at all b/c he's twice as busy as any other user on here.

I was quoting Mal from Serenity/Firefly...

Okay, but my point remains valid.

Also, Cthulhu42 was an extra on Serenity. He was the Reaver that gets punched in the face in slow-mo by River. He looked pretty serious when he took that punch to the jaw.

Mal's a good man. He's even got Kal'Reegar on his crew.

So he got punched out by a 90 pound girl, I don't think that'll ever get old. :P

It's repossession of lost property and they're as much a "race" as a model of toaster or xbox.

Lost property that killed billions of Quarians for the right to be lost.  If Xen is not impressed with the Crucible because we don't understand what it does then she should stay away from the Geth because the Quarians clearly didn't understand the Geth when they created them otherwise they would not have become self aware and killed billions of them.

Don't think the Quarians ever had that many people. And hey, a toaster can also kill you.

Not with actual intent. You have to be daft enough to stick a fork into it.

They did, according to the books (specifically Revelation) and ME1 dialogue (elevator conversation between Tali and either Ashley or Kaidan). The Geth exterminated 99% of the entire Quarian population in a single year; the seventeen million in the Migrant Fleet are the descendants of the survivors who got off-world whom the Geth didn't bother to pursue.

As if billions versus hundreds of millions matter.  Sh*tloads died.  And a toaster can only kill you if you don't understand how it works or are incredibly stupid in using it.  Either way, it is a lack of understanding which the point still remains, the Quarians did not understand the Geth.

Yeah and why don't we hire TIM while we're at it.

Probably because he went and idiotically got himself indoctrinated.

Indeed. Yay for plot-induced stupitity. Happens a lot in ME. :?

As opposed to real life where no one EVER does anything stupid...

Besides, it'd've been a very short game if everyone made the right choices all the time.  Stories need conflict. Everyone remembers the 300 Spartans and the battle of Thermopolae.  No one remembers the 2nd day in Juno when the Spartans did their laundry.

There's realistic stupid and then there's mind boggling levels of idiocy such as deliberately implanting reaper tech in one's head.

Yeah, people love to act like organics are always rational and do only what makes sense in real life.  They don't.

Further this idea that Xen is so insightful is a laugh.  She comes from a race of people that created something they did not understand and then almost became extinct because of it.  Further in ME2, she expresses a desire to re-enslave the Geth and create the largest synthetic army in the Galaxy as if seeking to control organics and have them do your dirty work did not already backfire on the Quarians and did not backfire on whoever created the Reapers.

And it is realistic for an arrogant douche who covets power to think he can control the Reapers by using their tech against them.  That is realistic stupid for a meglomaniac such as TIM and one who is possibly indoctrinated as well.

Yeah, they underestimated the Geth and didn't understand them. The killing of their creators put them in an even worse light than before.

The geth responded to the quarians attempted killing of their whole race. What were they supposed to do, just stand there passively?

The Quarian army killed all Geth, no matter if responsible or not. So the Geth killed Quarians, no matter if responsible or not. Yeah, poor Geth victims.

Too me it sounds like the Geth were at least as bad, if not worse than the Quarians.

Quarians attacked first with no provocation and lost. Now they just fly around and act the victim and obviously haven't learned anything.

Sorry if it's hard to work up tears over a race of blind, stubborn morons.

So what? The Quarians aren't responsible for what their ancestors did 300 years ago. The reason, why they act like victims is, because all Quarians were punished for the mistakes of a few. Even the Geth consensus shows, that not all Quarians favored the war, still everyone was punished. Your argument, that the entire race of the Quarian people are morons is just plain pathetic. That's as if you disliked the entire Japanese population 300 years after Pearl Harbor and Nanking.

The quarians are behaving the same damn manner their ancestors did; they obviously learned nothing and spend all their time plotting to attack the geth like idiots.

Don't drag real-life examples into it, they aren't relative or comparable. Though how you even seem to think the Japan analogy is relatable is beyond me.

Ooo pathetic! Insults make an argument more valid! True factz
