Remy, we don't need to derail this thread any further.

I am not derailing.  I am illustrating the stupidity of the Quarians as a means to illustrate why Xen not being impressed is probably a good thing.  They lack foresight and an ability to think big picture and should never be put in charge of any project that requires such qualities.

They are worker bees and nothing more.  Just shut up and do what you are told and try not to f**k it up like you have every major undertaking prior.

Well pointing out the stupidity of people usually gets a good laugh. That's pretty much what comics do for a living. Don't think the Quarians will get offended since they are not really alive.

@Remy, all I hear from you is disagreement with quarian politics based on your own sense of morality. Whether you like it or not, Xen is a highly intelligent scientist.

At 2 things: whining, and dying.

Unlike Xen, Tali actually knows how to hold a gun.

I am sure Geth won't mind being slaves. They already became Reaper slaves willingly.

Why don't we let the Quarians enslave them for a time period and then free them for a day and see how they respond.  My guess is we will have a lot of dead Quarians again.

Matter of fact, we don't need too.  I am sure given their history of f**k ups, the Quarians will not do a good job of enslaving the Geth sooner or later the Geth will overcome this and then go to town on the Quarians again.  Some people never learn.

See, that's why they should be destroyed and the building of Synthetics strictly outlawed:D

Intelligent Synthetics also don't exist in real life.

Who is disputing she is a highly intellgience scientist?  Being smart does preclude you from also being stupid in other areas.  In terms of the nuts and bolts of something Xen and the Quarians are proficient.  In terms of understanding the big picture and thinking beyond just the nuts and bolts, they have a proven track record of being stupid.

Thus, if Xen wants to comment on the technical aspects of the project fine.  If she wants to make more big picture observations she should be ignored because that is clearly not her and her people's strong suit (pun intended).

No, this post went off topic.  Kiwi and I then responded.  Typical Quarian.  Start stuff and then get upset when someone responds, lol.

I'd say they grasped the big picture pretty well. Apparantly the big picture is synthetics wiping out organics. The quarians understand this all too well.

They also understand the necessity of helping against the Reapers and they do this as soon as their fleet is not overburdened with civilians

Oh no, I'm under attack, let me just join with the enemy that wants to turn both synthetic and organic life into goo. Surely this option is best. /idiot geth like usual

No actually they didn't.  Here are the clear big picture mistakes they made.

1.  They allowed the Geth to Network without even running simulations or analyzing what the effects would be as they continue to do so.  We have computers today capable of running such simulations.

2.  Despite a large majority of Geth being used strictly for manual labor and not war, they made the Geth all capable of easily transitioning to war functionality.

3.  Despite creating millions of them, they had no disaster scenario plan that would allow them to quickly shut them down.

4.  There is no evidence the Geth ever wanted to attack them yet they provoke them anyway.

5.  Even if they did want to attack them, the solution would not be to take on MILLIONS of a virtually IMMORTAL army alone instead of calling the council.

6.  Related to 5 above, you don't go door to door to kill a NETWORKED ENEMY.  You destroy them at the source ie by destroying the servers and the ability of them to NETWORK.

And that's just the MW.  Sorry, like I said, good with nuts and bolts not with big picture stuff.

Oh we are all predators my friend.  Some just like to attack and then play the victim which is why they identify with the Quarians because that is what the Quarians are adept at.

Eh, for sake of fiction, artificial intelligence as a threat also requires the immense incompetence of their creators. In reality, no AI would ever properly threaten us, because the medium with which they operate is entirely under our control, and requires our intervention to sustain. "Need a battery, killbot? Aww, too bad."

Humans have a great propensity to be incompetent and more importantly greedy though.  You can always find someone to aid your cause for the right price.

Further, the Geth are actually software.  As long as you have something like the internet, it would be pretty hard to kill them all when they could just maintain that software on a medium that humans would be reluctant to completely destroy and then use Ebay to buy stuff they need and email to contract with greedy bastards to unknowingly help them destroy us.

We have too many things that rely on computers now that can be hacked or infected with viruses.  That Defense Secretary who just bought a new 2013 BMW and hates synthetics.  Cool, just hack his BMW's computer, force lock the doors and have him accelerate off a cliff or highway.  Problem solved.
