If Morrigan was Maric's daughter she'd be in her mid-thirties by the time of DAO. I always wondered what Maric did in the hut with Flemeth for several hours. While it's certainly possible that a daughter was produced I got the impression that she told him his future and the future of Ferelden. I know she was supposed to have extracted a promise from him as well but I don't remember if we ever find out what it is.

The promise was that once Cailan was an adult he was going to go to the Silent Grove to revive dragons. We learn that in the comics.

It just occurred to me that when Alistair meets his sister, Goldanna, she says:
"You killed my mother, you did!",
then (tada, or; uh oh) Alistair may be the very child of Flemeth and Maric (if there even were one, of course)
instead of Morrigan, being  Maric's daughter. <_<
(edit: meaning; Flemeth took Alistair's mother's body that time around)

Well, you (apparently) know a lot more than I do, regarding the whole story. I just play the games - and again, I thank you again for giving me more information.
It's really interesting to read.
