I suppose they should allow people who want dull, generic stand-ins to have them, though. I just don't seem myself being entertained by a Tranquil mage who drones on in a lifeless monotone.
Please give us an option to not let Bodahn and Sandal live with us

^ I thought you were leaving.
They'll be there and be mandatory cuz we need someone who does enchanting and sells stuff at your house. Like a really, really convenient convenience store. Why waste the resources making someone new to fit the role?
Apparently i am not...well, i feel kind of boring leaving lol (and it doesn't matter anymore if DA:I is ruined or not, if it is ruined i just get on buying other games and forget DA world ever existed)
I don't think they are a mandatory, because of age issue, Bodhan is already old in DA2, he also mention if he die who want to take care of Sandal...and that boy isn't a boy anymore, he grow up, so he wont be as attractive and interesting as he was, he will no longer become an icon, he must be replaced

Because whatever was charming or funny about Sandal in DA:O didn't survive into DA2, and there's no reason to think it will improve with repetition.

Since we're going to have a castle, I'd love for the chance to populate it with different possible merchants, some of which are mutually exclusive.
Wait... what? .... Hang on a mo.
What's this about us 'living in a castle'? I don't recall reading anything about that anywhere, though I'll admit that I often miss such things due to being too lazy to sit through streaming videos etc.
Is there an official statement somewhere declaring that the DA:I protagonist will live in a castle?

It has not been confirmed, but it was brought up as to what we would want to do with our castle if we had one.

I agree. Forced stuff is bad in rpgs. Let the player pick hisher own friends.
I think that would be the best course of action.
