ME3 has that best multiplayer community / gaming culture ever

We're just better than that of most shooting games, popular MMOs, and generally any game with PvP in it at all.
I'd say it's because it's entirely a co-operative PvE game, and because this is the third game of an RPG series by a company renowned for single player story-driven RPGs, so a lot of our players are coming into the game from the RPG side of things, rather than the multiplayer shooter side.

yeah...
I'm pretty sure you can't comment on best multiplayer communities when the first MP game you ever played was in 2012.
Sorry for my wording, you probably know I meant it as a figure of speech. I'm just saying, this community is really good (as many more experienced players above are attesting).
About some comments above: all the elitism, individualism, point hunting and leeching of the 600h+ I've played in ME3 won't ever compare to the frustration of last week of intense play of these other games I mentioned.
BTW, elitism is bad; harassment is horrible. I get annoyed by "look how well I do with my UR X"; I get very upset and more prone to give up the game for good with "f*** you NOOB". At least, that's how I see it.
And about bsn, I've found that most "elitism" and "rudeness" is washed off by being polite yourself. My first post was met with a shower of "l2p" (I remember I had to look that up in google! =p), and at some point I said, "yes, I need to l2p, that's why I'm posting here, I'll gladly accept any hints you have to give". To which I was responded with politeness, helpfulness and kindness. I've done the same in game ("how do I deal with such-and-such? how do you snipe with javelin? etc etc"), and was always replied with politeness and helpful advice. In these other games I actually tried "what do you mean by <technical term>" in the mic, to which I was met with a "I don't have time to teach frigging noobs". That actually happened this morning.
So again, kudos to BSN and this community as a whole.
well then yeah in that case, it is one of the best. I think that's mainly because this is probably half the communities first multiplayer experience. I know a bunch of people that were single player gamers and only tried out the MP because it they liked ME and figured they'd give it a shot

Been playing some other online-games and it can get very ugly there -- got that confirmed by all the people I spoke to about that topic.
Especially the PvPs, where apparently insulting, taunting, harassing and intimidating is considered as "good manners" or just "fun" to do so.
I wouldn't claim we're the best but we're among them.

ME3 was the first internet multiplayer game I ever played. I just recently ventured out into some other multiplayer games. I must say. I didn't realise how "horrible" things were out there... swaerings alot, no room to learn unless you're prepared to hear A LOT of "damn NOOB, report!".
I cannot begin to understand why people have to behave like that. In ME3 I was a noob for quite a long time, and still I'm not what I'd call "a great" player. But I've never ever been insulted, harassed, etc. Oftentimes the team relied on my soloing and I failed miserably. Other times, I'd be synckilled right in the beginning of the wave. Still, no (online) swearings. I myself have also been "the victim" of noobs, but I never even thought about harassing people - even though there isn't an ingame report button. The most I've done is "xy_player, please try not to expose yourself so much", "mission everyone please" or "when you see a banshee, just run until more people come to help" or whatever.
Maybe I'm just a sissie. Or maybe I was spoiled by this wonderful community, which I just now learnt to value properly.
Same, this was my first. I know that feel, etc.
I have negative interest in seeing what the other MP communities are like for exactly the reasons you listed. I have no patience for that kind of garbage.
One of the many reasons I love ME 4 evah.

part of the reason I hope ME MP doesn't go the route of formally offering pvp.

I played sometime LoL, and what i see? In games flame wars, afkers or other negative ****... But LoL is still interesing game, but community obviously sucks.
I wish, that Bioware do not consider add PvP in new games...

When both my daughters play (middle school age), and (as long as I'm there too) I'm good with that, it says volumes about the rest of you out there.
Oh, and speaking of epeen, my youngest can totally take out 2 banshees at once with an accurately placed missle to the floor. Saved ole dad more than onceSome people's kids score touchdowns or hit home runs...mine kill banshees. /flex

Some of the gaming communities I come from are Halo, COD etc and its mostly a trashfest when it comes to name calling and everyone berating every one else. This community has its downs but it has more ups than anything else which is so good. A lot of the people I have met through this game I would play with again in other games for sure. Those are the kinds of gamers you meet through ME3.

It's not just the LoL community, it's the MOBA community in general that collectivley sucks. I guess they migrate from each one, spreading negativity.DesioPL wrote...

Things have now come full circle, I'm helping another IRL friend to tackle bronze (he was impressed I could solo bronze... oh the memories of that first terrifying failure) and in a gold pug today I happened across a chap who was obviously new. I could tell this because I behaved the same way when I was new to gold. we extracted, it was good. happy days

I guess this is not fault of full MOBA community, because there is alot of games you know. But LoL have really bad community... I really feared to back play LoL again...
