I think one of the reasons that the community is the way it is, is that it doesn't have a PVP mode. I've experienced MP communities like this in the past, and they tend to form around games that require cooperation rather than pitting one player's skill against another.

If the next version of MP includes PVP, I will be rather wary of it. I don't object to that game style (but I do suck at it). However, I don't really care for the chest thumping that tends to come with it.

It's not just the LoL community, it's the MOBA community in general that collectivley sucks. I guess they migrate from each one, spreading negativity. 

I guess this is not fault of full MOBA community, because there is alot of games you know. But LoL have really bad community... I really feared to back play LoL again...

Fair enough, it is pretty terrible. Part of the reason I quit after like two games, along with my PC not being able to handle it haha.

Famas is almost always OP in every game it's in. its the only AR in MGS1 for a reason:whistle:
only balance variant off the top of my head is in mw2 it was balanced but it was only in burst fire, but was still pretty good. not lolump45/1887/acr/OMAnoobtube good, but still good.
just my 2¢.
but on topic....

yeah bsn can be a little to much ego at times, but on the whole, i actually have fun working together, and actually use my mic,unlike cod.

What a lovely, warm thread! I would say that this is the first MP community that I've really been a part of. I've played a lot of other MP games, but none that I've really got involved in except ME3. I've certainly not participated in any other MP forums. I've had similar experiences as the OP. So far, after a total of 888 games and 281H 45M 47S of play time, I've never ever had a bad experience with another player. And although I have a couple of friends I regularly play with, the majority of them games have been PUGs.
I'd like to thank Bioware for enabling this fantastic, friendly community to happen.

P.S. I find it hard to believe that this is Bioware's first MP. It's just so damn fantastic!

hurrdurrdicebalancing. They really screwed up with BF3 but there always will be white knights to come and say that BF3 is the bestest game in existence. Famas in MW2 was kind of OP in the sense that it made the M16 irrelevant:?. 

Can you imagine the whining about being disintegrated by an electric flamethrower with 8000 lol dps?

This is one of the best multiplayer communities i've been a part of, sure, but i'd attribute that more to being a cooperative game. In competitive games the sense of "elitism" skyrockets to untold levels of e-peen erections. You damage peoples' pride when you beat them head-to-head, and they don't like that. This leads to people having hostility against each other because of the cycle of inflation and deflation of egos.
P1 gets killed by P2, and P1 feels his pride damage. P1 deflects the blame to the game to lessen the blow to himself, by blaming the game, saying P2 used a "noob weapon" or a "noob strategy". When P1 kills P3 with the same weapon or strategy, P1 calls P3 a noob in order to deflate them, and by extension try to inflate himself by comparison.

The truth is the PvP openly promotes hostility between players. ME being a PvE game, it is just less hostile by nature.

I've played DS2 MP, I can tell you what that's like. Ass.

ME3MP has a really enjoyable gaming culture, certainly much better than most PvP games I have seen. The best ever ? No, but it can hold its own among the good ones.

This is one of the more mature communities i've been a part of, on the forums and off. People may get bored and go on spam sprees for poops 'n' grins on the forums, but it's miles and miles and start systems ahead of the Battlefield forums for example.

Literally, on the BF3 forums, when the shootings in the USA that happened a while back where a teenager gunned some kids down at an elementary school, the mods literally posted a thread that was sticky'd to the top stating that there should be zero discussion about the shootings. THAT is how bad the trolls are there, that the mods literally can predict what they're gonna do.
