I've played as a rogue on my first goes on both DAO and DA2, and I was convinced I would play rogue again. But i am now thinking of playing as a mage on the first time I play DAI.
Will you play as a warrior, rogue or mage on your first playthrough?

Mage. As i did in DA:O and DA2.
And, just for sake of tradition, i will name him Rincewind, just like his predecessors.

I plan on playing a mage.
I say "plan" because I planned on playing a warrior in DA2 only to switch to rogue, then to mage, all whilst new information was coming out.
Who knows what will be revealed regarding DA:I...could be that a non-mage specific origin story appeals to me more?

I always play a support mage on my first playthrough. Since I'm pretty much the core of the party as the guy who keeps everybody alive, I can make whatever kind of group I want with all my favourite characters.
Staying at the sidelines watching the fight unfold also helps me in planning future characters when they reach those points.

usually my first run at a fantasy game is always rogue Elf. in DA:O first rogue Elf. than Rogue Dwarf. Rogue Elf again. than Elf mage.
DA only rogue. and I don't plan to play again.

I always play mage first in these types of games. I just find combat more interesting and challenging. Plus, while unlikely, it is possible for me to pick up and learn how to use a sword or a bow or some other weapon in real life, but I'll never get to use magic, so it's more of an escape for me to play a magic-user.

My Warden was a warrior, my Hawke was a mage so I guess the Inquisitor will be a rouge

I honestly have no idea. I'm leaning towards mage, but I'm just as likely to play a warrior.

Ordinarily, I'm boring, in that I typically play the soldier/warrior/fighter analogue first in order to "learn" a game (though my first playthrough in Origins was actually a mage, but I played her as an Arcane Warrior, soooo...)
However, considering how much fun mages were overall in DA2, I think I'll probably stick with mage.

Mage first, as always. Dragon Age is the only franchise where I like to play one.

Probably rogue. Warden was a warrior, Hawke was a mage, and I'm tired of needing to shoehorn a rogue into the party just for lockpicking.

My usual MO is to do my first playthrough as a warrior, and in general a "good" guy - which is kind of a grey area in Dragon Age since there is no alignment system.
I think I might actually move away from that though, when I did it on DA2 that playthrough came to a grinding halt early in Chapter 3 after I had been forcing myself to continue playing through the earlier chapters.
I did finish both games as a mage (just took me a good 2 years to get to it for DA2
), so I might do that again or a Rogue, though I think my problem was more with "Diplomatic/Good" Hawke than with the actual class.

I played a Redhead Diplomatic Rogue first in DAO, and a Brunette Aggressive Warrior first in DA2. Logically, this makes my first Inquisitor a Blonde Sarcastic Mage.
Given how much fun I had playing a Sarcastic Mage in DA2, I expect this to be a blast.

I played a warrior in DA:O and a mage in DA II. I suppose I should get a full set and play rogue in DA:I.

I played the first two as a mage on my first play-through and finished the game with both without starting another character, so if I get DA3 then I will probably do the same.
