Cassandra is aligned with the chantry/ Templars so is obviously evil.

Chantry doesn't work with Templars anymore.
Also, that trailer could display a lot of things that might not appear to be in the game and even if she is attacking the fortress she probably has a good reason.

Since when has the Chantry stopped working with the Templars?

At the end of DA2, The Templar rebelled against Chantry for some reason.

Cassandra and Seeker job in DA2 is not put down Mages rebellion, their job is to stop the chaos from
the all out war between Mages and Templar by finding Hawke and bring him/her in.

and again the teaser probably edited to make it interesting, movies trailer always do that.

I'm sceptical that the scenes displayed will actually go together in the actual game.

This.

Its often the case within trailers. Deliberately done to cause lots of discussion & generate hype. If she is however attacking a Warden fortress I doubt we will know until we actually play the game.

I'm thinking along these lines aswell. I try to not read too much into trailers, they're created to create hype and some discussions

They're probably shots from different battles/scenes. Really, there's nothing at all that says she's ordering her men to attack the Grey Wardens.

Did you finished DA2?
As soon as Right of Annulment is invoked in Kirkwall is the moment when Templars break their alliance with Chantry.
Cassandra / Seekers have no interest in mages, they want to stop the chaos between mages and templars before it spreads even more.

That's something we're not certain of though.  Why would the Seeker be looking for not only Hawke by also the Warden?  As the Templar's aren't part of the Chantry anymore, isn't it possible there is some 3rd option that we're not seeing here?

Hmm, just noticed the sign on the door. It's not only the warden griphyn. The middle part has looks similar to dwarven writing; and very similar to the Amell crest. Perhaps it's a tevinter sign (kirkwall noble families descend from tevinter)? And the bottom part looks like a book.

Maybe it's a tevinter warden fortress, chock full of warden blood mages, since it's all the rage there?

Well, she told Varric herself that she's looking for Hawke in order to use him/her influence
against Mage/Templar to stop the war.

Other than that, no one know about Seeker "original plan" that mentioned in the end. It's possible that
in DA:I, they give up searching for Hawke/Warden and go with that plan.

Maybe it's to show that her army is bigger?

I just hope they give the defending Grey Wardens their just due. I want those attackers getting massacred! Nevermind that I don't like the Chantry much and if an army of zealots attacks a fortress full of members of the by FAR mightiest order of fulltime warriors, then I want to see the field of battle run red with the attackers' blood.

We saw a tear in the fade appear in the sky during the "Fires Above" trailer. Maybe it's connected? The Dark Spawn have some connection to the fade if their origins are to be believed. Maybe the taint would be affected by the sudden influx of magical energies.

It could be as simple as show Cassandra leading a battle against a castle and the only castle what was finished in game was a warden one. Or perhaps a designer said, hey I'll use these cool doors on this castle!

Or maybe the wardens got taken by whatever fell out of the fade already, and there are monsters in that fortress.

She personally killed like 3 dragons in Dawn of the Seeker so my PC isn't going to mess with her.

Please, if the Dragon Age protagonist accomplishment factor is halfway linear throughout the franchise, the "Inquisitor" will have personally taken out a whole berserk Circle of blood mages, the Harvester they will have conjured up (possibly two if the endboss is a necromancing blood mage), will have had dealt with a Qunari invasion one way or the other, ventured into the Deep Roads somewhere to confront the Architect and his awakened Darkspawn, and must have killed at least one mature dragon along with its offspring before s/he ever came to the point of story where Cassandra would give the option for open conflict.

Three dragons you said?

It's hard to say if it's actually happening. I remember the trailers and marketing for Heart of the Swarm were extremely deceptive showing what Kerrigan seemed to be doing in the game's story. In some cases they reversed the order of her words to imply the almost the exact opposite of what she was actually saying.

hoestly what makes people think that it isn't the inquestior doing the starting the war against the wardens? I'm sure Plantieff would love for that to happen :P

the fact of the matter is that we have no info because well, DA devs don't want to give us info.

Don't know yet what are the other companions ... but for now, if I can decide the fate of some of them ...well it seems that I'm making solo run through the game for now ... since there is one of them who's already dead.

Necro'ing old threads is frowned upon.

So is necro'ing old threads with posts that don't even relate to the topic.
