Can this help me with creating a server? I just bought the game (even though i had the original one) on GOG to play with a friend but my server does not show up on nwnlist.com nor the ingame server browser. Says "refusing netlayer window handoff for loopback connection" in the CE console.

Can anyone help?

Or do i need anything else to open a server which shows up on the nwnlist.com ? Maybe i'm triyng to open a server on the old gamespy servers and thats' why it does not work.

So the reason for the game to not show up on the server broswer is cause the game is not portforwarded? When i open a server it says it says it connects to 127.0.0.1. Why does it do that when i open an online server or am i doing something wrong? "Attempting to find server 127.0.0.1:5121 server found attempting to log in" and the game start but no one can join me. Here is a picture of the console. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u132/notclanweb/nwn2_zpsaba0de1f.png

I can play the game via lan or by using a program called Tunngle.

Not sure if i still understand. I just used my IP adress and could do the portforward thing, so i portforwarded 5120 (or what ever it was can't remember now) and 5300. Still it says "connecting to 127.0.0.1 and i can't find my server on nwn list T___T Sure lan via tunngle works but i want it to work properly!

PLZ HALP!

review the information here
http://www.wikihow.c...ing-on-a-Router

you need the ip of your computer ( 192.168.1.* number ) and the public ip or find it in your routers settings.

The 127.0.0.1 is your loopback address, it just means my own computer, every device has that ip internally. ( note the name of your error )

Post what your public and private ips are.

I've done that already. I do that for games all the time but i'm not sure if the ports are right.

The ports on portforward 5120 and 5300 were written like this:

5120-5300

I dont know if that means only those to numbers, everyone in between or what more it could be. I port forwarded those mentioned and nothing is different. It still says i'm connecting to 127.0.0.1 when i join multiplayer and load or create a new game and my game still does not show up on lists AND can't be direct connected to.

step 1
Direct Connect to 192.168.1.65, Does this work?

Do you have a firewall, is it configured to allow access to port 5121 ( and the rest of the ports listed below )?

step 2
Is your port forward set to at least the following? ( might be a range that includes this, all entered port fowards should point to 192.168.1.65 )
port 5121 -> 192.168.1.65

Did you enter it in following instructions for your router as found on ( and using 192.168.1.65 ).
http://portforward.c...inter_Nights_2/

Did you set any of the following ports to forward as well?

5121 UDP (Default server port)
27900 UDP (Optional, used to show ping in server list)
6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)
13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
6515 (Dplay UDP)
6500 (Query Port)
29920 (Gamestats Server)
