Who would have thought we'd make it beyond a decade, yet here we are. When I think about our age, I consider the comparison of our state to a real life 11 year old.
We've lost our baby fat! Sure, we're slimmer now than we were when we were younger, but we're lean and stronger. RP strong, and you guys are the muscles behind it. I truly believe we have some of the most talented and dedicated community members Caenyr has ever seen in all its years. I'm proud to have each and every one of you be a part of this place. You're more than friends, you're family.
We're no longer just a cute little kid, we're a handsome (or beautiful, if you prefer) young adult! We used to be that cute kid that people would smile at but not look at as mature and definitely not think to go on a date with. Now look at us. Look at our site! We're better looking than we ever have been, and have gained the respect of our fellow NWN communities as a mature world that has come of age with a lot to offer. Just look at the recent, wonderful review we were given by Foreverwinter Nights.
Our body is... changing (in weird and wonderful ways!)
Like most, as we start to climb the double digits we need to change to adapt to the new life we're leading. For us, that meant adjusting the shape and structure of our world and community to better align it with the NWN Community of today so we aren't outdated and irrelevant. I'm of course referring to our Reconstruction effort, and all of the wonderful and needed improvements that came with it that this community so whole-heartedly embraced. But just because our body changed doesn't mean our personality has! World of Caenyr still exhibits the same incredible culture of fun, family, and roleplay that we always have. 
So here we stand. Still young, but vibrant, strong, and ready to take on the future no matter what challenges it brings. I love that we're still here, and I love all of you for making this the best damned community on the internet, NWN or otherwise. I'm talking currently active players, passer byes, or players of old who have departed but may happen to read this when I send it out in email. You're all great, you've all helped us get where we are today. I hope you enjoy this spectacular anniversary as much as I am!
In celebration, we have a few cool things going on.
- This Saturday, June 22nd at 5PM EST (1700 GMT -5) we're celebrating in game with our 2nd Annual Spammy Awards and a killer Big Bad After Party. Hope you can all make it, but even if you can't attend please follow that link to find out how you can vote for the Community Choice categories, and also make your predictions for all the night's categories for a chance to win a custom level 20 item for your character!
- Some cool RP events happening. First, the Emperor of Genocise has declared the Great Purge, a month long event for all the baddies in the south to embrace their evil ways. Feel free to participate on the forums and/or in game. But for everyone, evil or not, there is also a cool serverwide quest the Enhancers are cooking up that you should start to see take shape very soon. So enjoy!
- Finally, to mark the event it would be really cool if everyone posted in the birthday thread over at the site with their favorite Caenyr moment (or moments, if you want!) Can be anything, in-character or out-of-character or both!
