I happened upon this video and I was reminded how much I adore the Sebastian/Bethany pairing. It's so sweet it may have given me Type 2 diabetes.

Bioware, is there any chance for a permanent hook-up for these two? I'm not saying I want to bump into them on their honeymoon and look over their wedding photos, I'd just to hear someone in a bar mentioning how the new ruler of Starkhaven was shacking up with a Grey Warden/Circle Mage who's related to the Champion of Kirkwall.

Please? Also, if you can make it happen, would it be contingent on them meeting during one of the DLCs? Because Bethany can meet Sebastian in other circumstances.

It seems to me like anything could be possible if they both are alive :) It could have some interesting political consequences, too, as you mentioned. The pair seem to get along really well and some mention would be great in DAI.

I'd rather set my car on fire, and I don't even have a car. I would actually buy a car just to set it on fire if it would ensure that this pairing would never happen.

I liked the Sebastian/Bethany pairing. But unless Sebastian has made Bethany Princess of Starhaven I think my Inquisitor will have to kill him for my Hawke.

He flirts with Bethany in both of the DLCs, more or less. Even if he's "married" to Hawke. So yes, it's a thing.

There's that too.

Make it canon.

Only over Marian Hawke's dead body. ;)

(No but for real, I felt actual gut-wrenching guilt when I found out Sebastian/Bethany was a thing when I played the DLC after my Hawke rivalmanced Sebastian. I'm sorry, sister. ;___;)

Kinda hard for Seb to be into Beth when she's somewhere near Lothering.

Sebastian is my second favorite companion from DA2. I hope he is in DA3.

So the save import (or whatever they go with) checks whether Bethany and Sebastian are alive, and if they are, puts them together.

And if Hawke romanced Sebastian, then that random drunk in a bar mentions her instead as the new Princess of Starkhaven.

I'm actually curious if a save import will change if I never downloaded him. I did like how Mass Effect 3 had different versions of the Kasumi side quest changing whether Shepard ever met her or not.

Shame? What's that?

Edit: OK. I looked up shame on Wikipedia. I definitely don't feel that. Can you give me some tips as to how? Maybe if I plunge my head in warm water, my face would feel warm? That is shame, isn't it?

Let's not bring that sort of talk into this thread. Can't we stay classy just once, BSN?

Would be cute for those who have a live Bethany, and a Sebastian not romanced by Hawke. Kind of like the Fenris/Isabela thing. But it's not exactly a big priority for me.

Awww. Princess Bethany! How adorable. Sebastian and Bethany seem like the sorta that would have carved their names into that big tree in the park back in high school.

I'm thinking no. I doubt that Maker-botherer would condescend to have a relationship with a Mage during a Mage uprising, and how dare she want to spend time outside the Chantry or the Circle, the only two places where Mages belong.

Furthermore, I think Brother Sebastian should be punished in DA3 with the knowledge that by leaving Starkhaven in the pudgy hands of his incompetent cousin, the city lacked the leadership to withstand the demons from the Fade Tear and was razed to the ground.

I'm ok with Prince Sebastian, though. Still a bit whiny about the Maker, but at least he doesn't abandon his responsibility just because it's hard and doesn't make him feel all warm and fuzzy. He can save the city or whatever.

The art of being as classy as Ron Burgundy is lost on the BSN.

One, Sebastian isn't as rabidly anti-mage as you seem to think. Sure, he's not organizing "Free the Circle" rallies, but he can romance a Mage Hawke and may defend the mages at the very end of the game.

Two, I think Sebastian ends up returning to Starkhaven no matter what, as Kirkwall holds very little for him anymore at the end of Act 3.

Doesn't Sebastian say something along the lines of Andraste defending the oppressed, and now that's the mages when Hawke sides with the mages.

Yes.

Funnily enough, despite him wanting to (rightfully) kill Anders, he seems to have no problems with mages whatsoever if you take him along for the ride.
