Dark brown or Black...

EDIT: I do hope that in DA:I we'll have the option to modify the color of: the hair roots, tips, highlights and such.

Jet black or dark red. I do have a couple of Hawkes with lovely light blonde hair (and they really resented that Anders got the nickname "Blondie" instead of them!)

But I'm not adverse to trying out different hair colors -- natural or no. Though to be honest, I'm more interested in hair styles then hair color. DA is sorely lacking in hair styles (especially longhair styles for guys that actually look good).

It really depends on the race, nationality and gender of the character in question. I normally like to stick within the paradigm of the character's race/nationality and norms for their hair and eye color. I have a variety though. 

I do love red-haired male characters and goofy anime colors whenever it fits (pink, purple, blue) for females, admittedly.

unnatural would be pink or like rainbow colored. and natural would be red(not ginger red though) I also like black and there's a certain shade of blonde that I absolutely love(but that's not really in any game)

Let's see... canon Shepard, redhead. Canon Hawke's, blond and black haired guys. Canon Warden, black. Canon Arisen, black. Canon Dragonborn, brown.

I like to try all sorts of hair colors, skin tones, eye colors of both genders. I got bored creating characters that all looked the same and decided to experiment with all sorts of things! I think I'm partial to Dark Brown and Black Hair though. (I do have a few blonde, redhead, and white haired characters though, case in point- my avatar and my Let's Play Warden, Gilda Brosca.)

Green, really?  lol.. that's great!

For me, it's got to be the darkest "black" available.  Thankfully, that's usually not a problem though I still mod the hair of my characters.

Copper (red hair), as you can tell by my profile picture. It used to be black though... Don't know why I changed.

Black, or Dark red/ brown. I did have a blonde Aeuducan Princess.

My canon PCs tend to end up looking latina, so I almost always choose black.
My second characters then end up looking completely the opposite with pale skin and blonde hair.

I'm not a fan of unnatural hair colours like white (on young people) or green or whatever.
