Alright. So, I am in college and share and pay for half of everything with my twin brother. We share an apartment, car, and, most importantly, computer and video game systems.
Now, my brother was convinced that the Xbox 1 is going to be lame and decided that we were going to get the Playstation 4. Neither of us has the money to get separate game consoles, but I have been playing Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 on our Xbox 360. I do not know if it is possible to upload Dragon Age saves from the 360 into the Xbox 1, but I was thinking I could play my master save over again on the Xbox 1, assuming the game are backwards compatible.
With Inquisition coming out for all current and next generation consoles, I'm in a quandery. My Xbox 360 is one of the original Xbox 360's, not a slim, but it has all my saves. So, what would you guys do? I never played the Mass Effect DLC comics so I don't know how good Bioware has been at allowing us to import our choices through those comics.
One of the things I am most concerned about is importing my Prince Cousland playthrough since I was particularly proud of finding that ending in Origins on my own. I'm worried there might not be a choice to import that one and others choices. What do you guys think?
Should I get Dragon Age Inquisition on the Xbox 360 or PS4?

We still have no idea how imports will work yet.

True. Still, I wanted to score early opinions based on how imports have been handled in the past, particularly with the comics in Mass Effect. If I only have the preset backgrounds like in Dragon Age 2, I'd be disappointed.

There hasn't been a situation like this in the past. Genesis style was originally for platforms that never had the previous game. Later it was used on all platforms.
Now we will have a clean break on the major consoles. Genesis could work if our old PCs aren't going or show up, but would be unsatisfying for many. Exporting to your EA account could dodge the platform issue, but its all conjuncture at this point.

This, 100%.
Do not make the decision until Bioware announces how imports (especially cross-platform imports) will work.
Good news: The game won't be out for over a year. You have time to decide.

PS4. If you have the option, PC. But if you don't, like I said.
Bioware will come up with a way for people to imort their worlds to next gen systems. They've all but confirmed this already. You don't want to be playing on 360 when you have the option of experiencing the next Dragon Age game on much more capable and powerful system.

Well, that's a good idea. At least there's time to think on it.

As an aside, since you're obviously emotionally invested in this save game, you should back it up to a thumb drive (or memory stick, or whatever) so that you have it available in case something happens to your hard drive.
