Darkness closes in. Will you stand against it? Or lead this world to its bitter end?

Does anyone else hope there will be more than just two choices?

I'm sure there will be different degrees at which you can save the world or destroy it, so to speak.

For my main playthrough I'll probably save the world, but if we're given a choice I'll definitely try the 'bitter end' option.

I highly doubt it'll be so binary good vs. evil.  Hell, even DA2, which only let you pick between templars and mages at the end, wasn't so clear-cut.

I already hit Villain Protagonist territory with Hawke in DA2, so I think my first Inquisitor will definitely be on Team Hero.

Just pick top right for good and bottom right for bad :P

Hopefully not, though by ME3 it was "top right for vaguely maudlin" and "bottom right for vaguely cranky" :P

I'll save it, but I'm going to be very sarcastic about all things. Maybe a little sassy....just to lighten things up.

If you destroy the world you probably won't be able to import into DA4

I'll go with whichever option Morrigan opposes.

So probably save the world.

-50 Morrigan disapproves

That's the idea!

I don't think you need a "probably" there.

The "destroy" ending is either a false dream (as in somebody save the day at your place) or it is like ME2 Shepard is dead ending and you can't import in DA4.

Lead this world to its bitter end can perfectly mean that you destroy the most powerful factions of Thedas (Tevinter, Quinaris, etc) and then rule the whole continent yourself like a tyrant, or something like that. I don't think it means just "destroy the world".

You assume DA4 will allow imports and not be a clean slate

Oooo... having the option to rule would be really interesting :3 I'd definitely bring back the old Imperium ;D

If either of your decisions doesn't carry over to the next game, it doesn't even matter.

Since I'm planning on playing a more evil character I'd say destroy the world, at least on my first playthrough.

It's "leave", not "lead".

As in, "Will you play the game or not?"

No, it isn't, it's lead.  I listened to it again to be sure, and Morrigan does indeed say 'lead.'  But even if she had said, "leave," it wouldn't mean what you think it means.

I'm going in hoping to save it and make it better, but I could easily find that Thedas has degenerated to the point where hitting the reset button would be faster.

It depends on the level of importing that is allowed for DA:O and DA:2. If I was importing my Warden Cousland who marries Alistair (kills Loghain)/Hawke who saves the mages- then I'd save the world. But if I imported a Warden who supports Queen Anora (Alistair a drunk)/Hawke who sides with the templars- then destruction.

Save the world. Naturally. May have to become Emperor/Empress in the process, however.

The only way I would "Destroy" Thedas is if it meant to strip the magic from Thedas and seal it off from the Fade forever (you know, in the way nothing in any form of fantasy/sci-fi is "forever")

That's the only "destroy" concept I'd consider really.

If it meant allowing "evil" to win? Blech - no.

Just because one chooses to lead a world to its 'bitter end' does not mean they are successful at it.
