In this thread we will examine what it would take to survive, and in the situation where an outbreak would occur, who would be the first to die, and we post our plans for survival. 

My take on who would die first:

People who think they can survive just by what they've seen watching movies and video games. 

My survival plan:

Join a preperation group (which do exist) before the infection, train with guns, train your fitness, stockpile on food and clothing, and keep an open line to survivors you know across the map. Stay away from cities, and find safe ground either out in the country or underground (I would suggest gathering wood from the nearby forests to build a barn in the country and an underground shelter beneath it). Do not open the door for people outside of my group who are knocking saying they want safety or gas/food/water.

My plan would be to break into every Republican's house that I know, steal all of their guns and ammo, and hightail it back to my bunker, giggling all the way.

Who's to say Red wouldn't just accidentally mistake you for one of them or something and **** your **** up? 

As for me, knowing my luck I'll probably somehow manage to sleep through the entire thing. Failing that, gathering the necessary supplies and living off of the countryside or even the sea I guess.

(Everyone in a zombie apocalypse is a bandit btw. Some are just more self-righteous about it than others)

Living 'in the sticks', I think I'd survive for some time. Stick to water. Sheep paths. Etc.
Now---mind you; if the ZP effected ALL life, and not just humans... I'd be done for within the hour. (/Dogs/cats/birds/reptiles/fish)

hmmm.

Again, escaping for the country would be the best route because dogs/cats/fish/reptiles wouldn't be that present, but the wildlife in the surrounding forests might be another story.

I'm fairly fit and resourceful, I live on the outskirts of the city so I'd grab some gear and follow the train tracks and river out into the country or mountains. Find an abandoned farm house and do what I can to fortify it until I can produce a long term plan. Surviving for years only to be taken out while stopping for a dump in the woods. I'd be undead as I lived, hungry with my trousers round my ankles.
