I wouldn't trust anyone, for starters. I might not survive long because I haven't trained or prepared to go into survivalist mode at the drop of a hat, but I'd probably outlast all myneighbors and co-workers. Heck, since I don't require human association, there's a chance I'd be okay for some time. Really would depend on circumstances at the time. Avoiding cities and other collections of humans is a must, as mentioned earlier. That's where the largest, fastest outbreaks would happen and spread from.

Stay where I am and follow my local authorities' crisis management plans. Every decent crisis management bureau has a plan for zombie outbreaks.

I won't even get into the details for why it's unnecessary to have elaborate schemes for such an "apocalypse", because physics and biology dictate any "living dead" contamination phase is either done within half a year without any requirement to use noticable amounts of ressources/effort if it's the usual fluid contamination and inadvertedly extinction level event if the infection cause is airborne, where anything short of biologically sealed generation bunkers is utterly useless.

A nice motivational quote for you all.

People underestimate how powerful modern weaponry really is these days. Zombies, especially the Romero Zombie, would be utterly vanquished.

Zombies would pose zero threat to life on earth.

Knowing my luck, I'd be protected from zombies by holding in a nice defensible place, raiding my local gun pawn shop for rifles, ammo, parts, cleaner, shotguns, handguns, and knives, and I will have managed to get enough food to last me a winter.

And than die from tripping on the top of a stairs and breaking my neck.

Should suppressors be put on these weapons just in case the dead can be attracted to loud sounds (which they most likely would be)?

Nyet. I want a free fire zone with a pit of fire between them and me. My goal isn't to survive solely, its to rake up the worlds largest kill count.

HAHAHAHAHA!

I suppose I could pretty much die of age. Unarmed humans with the intelligence of a dog, using only biting and scratching with normal teeth and fingernails are of no threat in our times. Almost unfortunately a zombie apocalypse is only possible with movie stupidity or an airborne virus.

On that note I fine it funny how all these people that prep for this **** forget things like minefields, the fact dead bodies rot, and the plane. Carpet Bombs and Artillery have been proven to make mence meat of massed infantry in the open.

Assuming the meat doesn't turn whatever scavanging animals eat the corpses into zombies, or that zombism is transmittible through mosquitos or flys.

Cause otherwise, we are screwed.

I don't own a gun so I'd just run really fast until I can stock up on ammo and food. I'm quite fit so I could probably cover at least 20 miles in a day. That's more than enough to gather all the supplies I need and find a reliable safehouse. Then I'd just wait for it to run its course.

Probably, mostly because I have like 14 machetes scattered across my house and a Beretta in a case in my closet, not counting a shotgun. I believe that'd help me long enough to find others.

Long term survival is over-rated. I know I'm not going to stand long, so instead of standing, I shall run. Run right to where the threat is the greatest and take out as many of those filthy corpses as I can before I join their ranks.

Ending with one last dazzling fire of fury.
I could think of no greater fate.

As I said, we'd rip them apart with overwhelming firepower.

Military weapons are actually more powerful than you think. Hit a moving target with a 3 round burst from an M-4 and it will rip them in half.

Shotguns knock people ten feet back. Headshots always instantly kill. Pigs fly.

Well i've never shot anything in my life, and would probably be hesitant to, but if zombies were to invade, i think i'd take up arms. Like many have said, avoiding cities and largely populated areas is a must, so i'd probably go to where there's the least amount of people. I'd also make sure the area is abundant in resources if you know where to look. Keeping all my family members together would be a must as well, as you wouldn't have to worry about where they are. Plus there's strength in numbers, so there's that too.
