I usually romance Liara, but.....

I guess I was expecting to be let down with all the rage against every little part of the game (especially romances) after the game released last year. But I guess I can chalk it up to simple nitpicking. I was satisfied by each characters romantic content. Each felt as if the connection with Shepard had grown since first getting involved. It felt natural.

I haven't seen anybody complain about the romance content in this game.

There was never a good reason for Miranda to not join the crew after Sanctuary for one. It's a no-brainer that she should have been there for Cerberus HQ at the very least.

In terms of quality, they most certainly do. Jacob is gone, Thane is gone, Kelly may as well be gone given how minor her 2 appearances are, Miranda's romance culmination consists of a shallow fade-to-black followed by Shepard magically teleporting and being locked out of the bedroom, and Jack doesn't even have a romance scene.

Speaking as a dude, if you can roleplay enough to switch genders and play a FemShep, I HIGHLY recommend going for Garrus. That romance is hands down, the best written and acted one in the whole game.
But yes, most of the romances were done pretty well, and the Citadel DLC saved the neglected ME2 ones.

maybe. But Imo this has nothing to do with romantic content. We can do the "shoulda, woulda, coulda" thing about any character. That shouldn't take away from what's already there. It didn't to me atleast.Jukaga wrote...

I don't romance anybody when I play FemShep. So I've never experienced Thane or Jacob. Though, I never really liked their characters to begin with.o Ventus wrote...

I thought Miranda's was fine. Just because a character didn't have a love scene before the "final mission", doesn't negate the content already there.

So you can't really say that the ME2 squadmates' romances are good, can you?

That doesn't have any bearing at all on its quality.
Quality being the main component that I was describing. Way to ignore my statement entirely.

Only for Jack and Miranda.
Jacob has nothing. Kelly has nothing. Thane has slightly more than nothing (the memorial and messages are not romance specific).

You get diffrent dialog and a new vid message if you romanced Thane. You also got to slap Jacob for being a cheating twit.o Ventus wrote...

Yeah the Citadel dlc had great scenes, but only for your classic romances(Tali, Garrus, Liara) and maybe Jack.

That would be the "slightly more than nothing".
Woohoo, 1 interaction that lasts all of a second plus some dialogue. You also got to slap Jacob for being a cheating twit.
An interaction and dialogue that ultimately amount to nothing.

I don't know, I cheered at the slap and I didn't even romance mister Boring.
Which is still the result of the writers forgetting Jacob (and Thane?) were LI's
