I liked it, although I think this Anora is a bit harsher than she actually is.

Contrary to popular culture, I actually like Anora :/ Just a poor gal who married a man she loves that doesn't want to love her back.

Oh man, and here I was trying to humanize her a bit.  Maybe I'll do that better in future chapters. Thanks for the nice comments, and also I wanted to say thanks A BILLION to Odiedragon for editing the hell out of that first scene. I had declared the first draft to be complete crap and vowed to never write again but she fixed it and kicked my ass enough to get me to finish the rest of the chapter.

Yes! Exactly! And she's not all that excited about having to do it again! And, also when Eamon says that the only side Anora is on is her own? That's true. Because NOBODY is looking out for her. She can't afford weepy emotional reunions. She's got **** to do. She also doesn't have time for Maebh to wallow in self-pity.

Maebh's actually had an easier time in the Circle Tower than Anora had in Denerim. She had more actual friends.

I admit, I am biased. I hated Anora in the game... Ugh, she just struck me as selfish, sanctimonious, and, well, just plain annoying. LOL

Which is why I wanted a happy Anora with Alistair in my comic 8 years of barren-hood and general coldness is bound to break even her seemingly impregnable mental fortress And Alistair will be right there to sex her up... I mean console her!



Adorable, I dunno I don't think you're giving her enough credit. She has nobody but herself to rely on, and perhaps her father, who is probably crazy, but she gotta flow with the blows. And I think it's tragic how she finally gets to marry the man she loves only to find out not only does he not share the same opinion, she has to deal with the fact that she might be barren. Not something anybody wants to deal with on a daily basis, really.

I probably am not giving her credit at all. I admit, something in her voice just makes my hackles raise... I think it's because, if she had a Southern accent, she'd sound like hubby's ex-wife. *shudders* JUst makes me want to spork something.

I'd like to think that Cailan loved her as well, in his own way.

But yes, I don't think she's evil incarnate or anything.  That's Howe, not Anora.
