First of all the question shouldn’t be “What if Dragon Age Inquisition is better then Dragon Age Origins?” but “What if you find Dragon Age Inquisition to be better than Dragon Age Origins?” because they aren’t any game that is better than another game for everybody.

Personally I would be really surprise to find Dragon Age Inquisition to be better than Dragon Age Origins because the lack of race choice and the return of the awful paraphrasing system (of DA2) are 2 huge steps in the wrong direction. To compensate for that they would need to make a lot of efforts in the other aspects of the game just to be nearly as good as DAO.

I was watching the ShoddyCast on Youtube for Elder Scrolls Online discussions and stuff.

They were mentioning RPGs they played in the past that they heavily enjoyed.

Dragon Age Origins was mentioned, then they joked about a sequel to Origins that doesn't really exist.

DA:I needs a better reception than that at least.

Seriously though games are always divisive things where some will love and some will hate. Personally i always remember how bioware has far better quality games and writing than the majority of games out there (if not all).

That might be a very good answer to why "3" doesn't appear in the title.

I enjoyed DA2 well enough, but that would be a really easy and reputable way of getting back on track and pretending as if the negative aspects of that sequel's reception didn't happen. It'd be the follow-up that never happened.

I played as a male human noble in Origins.

A female archer in that other game that followed it kinda.

I felt so bad about picking a female for the lesser game that I feel obligated to pick one for DA:I.

If DA:I is better than DA:O, well, than that would make it pretty good, so I guess maybe that means I'd buy it at full price within the first week rather than waiting a couple of months for the price to drop.

I would be very delighted of course. Not just because I love a good game and DAO set pretty high standards, but because..

(1) I actually prefer to say "Great work, you're awesome" to people rather than "No way to be polite about it: this is crap".

(2) It would break what I see as a downward trend in Bioware's games since DAO.
