I wouldn't know. I don't want to look at women at all, nor do I understand the desire to look at women.

...Seriously?

Yes, seriously. Why should players be unable to create a bulky "butch" female character with big muscles, if that is their preference?

I remember in Nwn you could make your PC a female Half-Orc. No femininity or prettiness there, absolutely not.

I agree, though. If I want to make my PC the butchest lesbian in Thedas it would be great to have the option to do so. In fact, I would expect a 2H warrior with strength comparable to a Kossith warrior to be a bit on the butch side. It is of no consequence to me if other players think my PCs are attractive or not.
So yes, more body types or a slider would be nice.

I'm not really sure. I had friends on the university rowing team, and while those women could probably break most guys they ran acros, they weren't all butch.

I'll admit, now that i've seen Hawke's body better (I just started DA2 again) she does have a nice, kinda muscular body and definitely hers is far better than Shepard's.

People who have different tastes, maybe?:? There are people who don't like feminine women and macho men.. Not everything is white and black in this world.

I understand, but you can be athletic and still look beautiful and feminine, like the woman in this picture (Gina Carano). As you can tell, she has a strong build (especially her legs) yet she's still very attractive.

Then you got women like this, who well... if you find them attractive, more power to you I guess.

This was in The Old Republic MMO. I do not see why they cannot implement it again.

She's not my type of woman but that doesn't mean she can't be attractive to others. ;)

(I LOVE Gina Carano btw <3)

Her face suggests that she's taking testosterone.

Because why the hell not? I don't get this whole aversion against seeing a (wo)man whose body doesn't conform with what society has come to accept as the norm. It's ridiculous.

Like another poster, posted earlier, the player character is the hero, running around fighting, so it's natural she's in good shape and doesn't look like a whale. And the feminine part, well if you wanna make your character look butch and there's another option of making her look more feminine, then that's cool to.

And that's all I care about. I don't see myself making a female PC that doesn't look feminine but, if you ask me, the option should always be there.

Animation issues probably make variable body sizes difficult. Different skin textures allowing for a more or less toned appearance might be m ore practical?

Other games manage it perfectly well. /shrug

I agree though, I dislike this forced muscular body. Especially for mages. My Warden was a mage, how the **** did he get that body? For all intents and purposes, every depiction of the tower has yet to include a gym.

An army cook still has to do PT every morning. Actual battle would be physically exhausing whether or not you're swinging a weapon around.

Sure, there could be more of a mix of body types. But fat bodies would not be realistic.

It's her face that makes her unattractive. If she wasn't standing there flexing under the lights her body would actually look good.

Unfortunately a lot of woman avoid weights for fear of looking "manly." But in reality it's virtually impossible for women to bulk up that much without steroids.

Why must a female PC look feminine?

I would love to have body customization and I see no reason why we can't. MHawke's arms in the mage gear was freakishly big. I love men with some muscle but I like a slender muscle look better than big hulk man types.

Not all muscle women have to look ugly. Would you call her ugly?

I wouldn't call her ugly, some would. But it all depends on peoples tastes, and it's irrelevant what others think, what is important is the choice.
