Dragon's Dogma :) And it has cut scenes / cinematics, so. Give us the DD CC, please, BW :) I'm so in love with my 5'9 lithe little archer guy. Would love to make a similar inquisitor.

Few, and almost none where the protagonist touches and interacts with the other characters.  That's where the difficulty lies.

True, but BW can just not go so crazy as DD did; take out the option to weight 500 lbs and be 4'5 or 7'2, and they should be good

Hell yeah, she was my favourite thing in Man of Steel!

I also remember that was very easy to create a nearly identical female PC in Dragon's Dogma, so it's not like something like that isn't available right now. Bring in the kickass woman slider!

Objectification of the female body going on in this thread is creepy but sadly the norm... :? Think it's time I retreat from the DA3 forums again; wow, didn't even make it a full 24 hours this time!

While I agree to a certain extent, I think arguments like the one going on in this thread can be good because it shows that there ARE people willingly to avoid the default "Sexy Female PC" body or hulkling beast male (or also simply beautiful male) hero.

I certainly wasn't sure that there were other people who felt neglected by the overload of top models in Fantasy game and I'm glad to see that there are others like me even if I AM horrified but some of the objectification shown by some posts.

Sex sells, there's a reason why player characters and npc companions are always attractive looking by default. The white knighting and feminism going on here, ain't gonna sell units. Contrary to the belief of this forum people want to play good looking character and not Hilda the overweight dwarf with flat breasts, but who has a great personality.

The best male fighters don't look like typically muscle bound athletes either :) Hence my Fedor bodytype recommendation.

The best?

Yup, that gif ain't gonna change that.

Cain Velasquez who has a similar build like Fedor and he's considered the best right now.

Nogueira in his prime also didn't look like a hulking musclebound beast, neither did Shogun who also got some bodyfat on him.

well if your skinny and wear armor all day and not to mention they didnt have food like we did back then you would most of the time end up ripped to some extent. As for others you work all the time or a warrior you will get built of course thats 2 different types of built, then DAO with all guys looking like Spartans. As for the women not everyone has DD's so I will agree with the ladies on this one. All they really have to do is something like soul calibur 5 did with different preset from being a big round guy to ronnie coleman bodybuilding, you could choose chest, arms, legs, etc size to what you wanted. (was almost the same for woman just had a couple extras) Its not like the new consoles cant handle it, they are doing the same with mods on DAO right now for different body types from a stocky guy to full blown ripped or a basic female with a normal chest to a model.

She's not just that but also put on quite a bit of muscle if I recall as well.  Not too much to be freakish looking but enough to add to her sex appeal.

Anyways, I think the reason why they just do one body type is to save time and money and would rather spend it on other things.

This is something I've wanted since origins. It doesn't really make sense for a mage to be as buff as a warrior, and having my rogue backflipping around with the same physique as a warrior felt strange. Ideally mages would be more scrawny, rogues would have an athletic build and warriors would have more muscle. Letting the player choose would be the best option though.

It would also let them give different physiques to NPC's. I'd like this as well since having all NPC's be as buff as a soldier made even less sense.

You know if they let us have a slider for body shape, short fat old guy with both out of shape and out of proportion features would be one of the most popular character type created.

If they do add in body types, I expect really only like 2 to 3 of them. No overweight bodies. More like skinny, regular, and buff.

I support this thread 100%. If you're going to have one body type only per race, at least go for something more "neutral" than the oddly common bodybuilder look. I'm not saying it's a bad look, just not one I relate to easily (especially if I'm playing mage or even a sneaky type rogue). Like Hawke wasn't my Hawke almost because of that detail (and the voice but that's another can of worms!).

In Origins I mostly played Elf for that reason (quite some dilemma since Elves can't have beards and I wanted a bearded Warden ! but I still chose beardless over too-muscular-for-my-roleplay). And it gets weirder indeed when merchants, beggars and old men have that same look. Same for females of course (I tried my best to disregard Mama Hawke's perfect breasts during my playthrough).

Skyrim's CC had a slider for weight/muscles and though not the most perfect solution, that worked very well to me, didn't seem to create clipping issues or that sort of thing. Something similar would be awesome.

More character creations options always appreciated.

Personally I'd like size options, too. Nothing too crazy, just different heights within the normal human range.

I think you're wrong. There's nothing preventing you from making a butt ugly PC looking like they're about 150 years old. Unfortunately, that person will still have a pretty hot body. Some people do want to play Hilda, the overweight dwarf with flat breasts. Some people want to play a short, fat, and partially balding man. Some people want to play ugly Shepard, and he's about the ugliest thing there is. There's no reason to restrict the options just because you think the PC should be attractive.

The CC is not restricted to only allow you to make attractive characters. It should not be restricted to a default body type that's deemed attractive. I agree that overweight might not be the best option since the hero needs to be able to move well and participate in fights, but a slider with different body sizes with more or less muscle and a slider for height would be nice. Even if it gives me the option to make the femInquisitor look like the hulk. And most likely this isn't excluded because of the "sex sells" misconception or BW wanting all characters to look hawt, but for other reasons. Most players like variety, and I think that BW too like variety in their games.

Yes different body models would be nice. The male characters in previous games are always built like rugby league players.
You could have a male rogue with a leaner, more agile build or a female warrior with an athletic, slightly muscular build. Would be cool to see to allow greater variation.

Bioware could you please make the boobs bigger on the female player characters?
