An ME game set during the Prothean Empire is the only way BioWare can sell an ME game without Shepard.

Yeah, but who would the main villain be?  All other villains are subsumed by the Reapers, unless it is the Reapers themselves who are the villains.

You can only up the stakes by introducing something more powerful than the Reapers but then they would have destroyed the Protheans instead.

Human of course. I am human: it is the species I can connect to the most.

Team Dextro must be conquering France in rage over the sheer idea that turian/quarian not be playable in the next Mass Effect.

Oh, we will:devil:

There will be no villains because it will be an MMOTPS like Planetside 2.

Anyone who says asari will suffer eternal pain. No human should be forced to play as living filth.

The Reapers were idiotically powerful, to the point of completely compromising the plot.

The last thing we need is something more powerful, or to return to the Reapers.

Why no Volus? I want to fight my enemies economically. It is how I win 4X games. Volus mob boss expanding his empire. Has to maintain team loyalty.

For a Turn based strategy spin-off perhaps:)

Agree with human. Might be a bit discriminatory against every other made-up ME race, but im human, and i want to play as one:lol:

What is the benefit from only having one playable race?

Mass Effect <PRESS START (and only start nothing else works)>
You awaken from near death, and can't remember who you are, but you're on a Batarian slaver vessel on a course for Illium.

Pick your race from the list below:
1.Asari

You picked 1.

Now pick your name (that will never be used other than to identify the save game):
MissDemeanor

I love these choices already!

Why does everybody want to play a human? If you want to play a human, you could play nearly every other game in existence, including every previous Mass Effect game. Come on people, it's time for a change.

In Dragon Age, you get a choice of races, I can't see why Mass Effect: Semi Colon Long Name, can't give the player a few options, even if they're just Human, Asari, or Turian.

Yeah, I know. You also got to choose one of five possible backgrounds. I'd love that option, but I'd prefer more races than just 3. Perhaps: Human, Asari, Turian, Quarian, Krogan, Drell, Salarian

Turian.
Humanity had a entire trilogy to shine already, no need for another one.
