The GI with the GPS is my favorite class/weapon combination in this game these days. And even though I'm just an average player I can still produce a decent score with it when playing with a team on Platinum.

Why is it that we never see people use this weapon in lobbies for Gold and Platinum? Do people not like it for some reason?

In my opinion it is an amazing weapon that you can put on any class really, but I basically never see someone use it which confuses me a bit

It's a fun weapon I just simply forget to use it from time to time. But thats just a scrub's opinion wait....hope I don't get banned for saying the 's' word :s

Actually I've noticed a major drop in the use of it in all levels it's just not chic anymore. People have moved on to superior shottys such as the Wraith, Pirahna(my favorite), Raider, Claymore, Graal, etc. But if you like it and are comfortable with it use it. You'll play better.

I don't find it fun, really. Not even on-host with the GI. I finished its challenge, and never used it since. There are a few weapons like that from each category: I didn't use the Carnifex, the CSR, the Locust, the Revenant or the Viper in ages, for example.

Not necessarily because they are bad weapons, I just don't find them that fun to use.

The GPS is the least fun shotgun in the game for me. It would go to the Reegar but I enjoy headshotting with it.

I only use when I use my GI, and that isn't very often.

Anything that makes me feel like a geth hunter makes my skin crawl and feel like even a 20 year shower won't wash off the nasty.

I know what you mean. I never use the Talon, PPR, Piranha, Hurricane and such because I just don't like them. Amazing weapons on any kit in the game, but for some reason I just will not play with those weapons.

I believe that it is more noticeable on PC than on Console. I have played with it off host on Xbox quite a lot recently and even with lag every now and then it is still one of the best weapons out there.

Don't use it much anymore, but still like it on the Krolord. Stun, hammer smash, dead phantom.

But I love that feeling, and if it makes a couple of teammates sh*t their pants every so often then it's even more fun to play like that

I love using it on gold but I personally find it lacklustre on platinum for some reason, it doesn't seem to be able to dish out that much damage?

huh. I just played two games on Gold with a Batarian Adept using the GPS. He definitely held his own and then some.

DPS is quite low, and lag can do really weird things to it. The tracking doesn't work very well offhost (it's actually more a hindrance than a boon), and sometimes shots just seem to plain disappear. I mean, I've fired at Brutes right in my face with a GPS and somehow it doesn't hit them.

Fantastic anti-infantry weapon on host though.

I stop using the GPS once I know where the place is. I can usually memorize the directions after a few trips.

I love it on the Geth trooper, and I do see it semi-regularly on Gold. Don't play platinum frequently enough to really notice any pattern there.

I think the main problem is there's so much competition from other shotguns, as there's so many good ones to choose from.

That and off host issues. I find the fire delay much more noticeable off host. That and the homing effect it has is really sketchy, and that's without any noticeable lag. Use it on an Australian host (or whatever equivalent for your part of the world) and you might as well just write an angry letter and throw it at that nemesis, because you aren't going to hit her otherwise.
