 Because it's synthesis.

A compelling argument.

It's just as bad as what the C'tan did to the Necrons.

C'tan?Necrons?What are those?

I don't see how that's like Synthesis in any way.

Seeing as Starkid has made everyone in the galaxy it's slave. I'll say it is more or less the same.

You can make the same comparison for the Reapers, but Synthesis kills the Catalyst and frees the Reapers. No slaves here.

Aside from the ethical issues of reconfiguring the framework of life in the galaxy in an instant with absolutely no way to know what its long term effects would be, the continued existence of reapers, husks, banshees, ravagers, brutes, marauders, etc. are an absolute no no for me.

Your reason is because the Reapers are still around? What makes you better than them?

Don't forget the zombie monsters, but on that other one, I think not being constructed from the liquefied bodies of hundreds of thousands of people, and not having skewed logic regarding the nature of order and chaos kinda does count.

For me it's the silly forced sacrifice of Shep
It's too hippy. Harbinger after Synthesis "Love & Understanding man Wooooo!!! I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The Essence Bull poop
I don't think it fit's this universe
Has an anti diversity message
How do all Synthetics regardless of data storage now have "the Feels"?
Change is too instantaneous
Stupid artistic Green circuits on everything. I'll be dammed if I'll ruin Miranda's beautiful Blue eyes.
Shep pulls a Crucifix pose when jumping into the Beam, Lame Jesus wanna be!
Oh & Shep as Space Jesus " The Shepard died for our synthesis Lol"

& most importantly I could not say " The galaxy is going to have to deal with my **** for a change" then poo in the Beam in the ultimate Troll ending turning everyone into Crap People.

Some of those are valid points while others are just speculation. What's so anti diverse about it?Hippy? What about it dosn't fit this uiverse?"the Feels" would be kind of like the code upgrade for the Geth. How do you know the change was instantaneous? The Green curcuits everywhere might go away.

Synthesis seems to be hated here. Why is that?

The Galaxy, The Alliance, and Hackett in particular, push for destroying the Reapers.

TIM wants to control them. (Shame about the indoctrination)

And <insert name here> foreshadows the notion that you can take organic cells and inert metal, and somehow monkey them all up to make a...... new...... DNA.

....

....

....

I mean why?

How is a new DNA supposed to cure the galactic ill's when the problem is not that synth's and orgs fight each other?

Before synth's and orgs, orgs fought orgs, and in ME2 we learnt that synth's were in conflict with synth's.

The problem is not DNA, it is how the free races regard each other. Making everyone the same through DNA manipulation, (while suspect science at best), will not stop orgs and synth's from fighting each other and one another.

The only way non conflict could arise is if the Synthesis beam affected the minds of all it touched. Therefore, Synthesis violates the rights of people to choose what to allow to affect their body, and selectively brainwashes those affected to not fight each other.

It's a solution that was not earned through enlightenment. Build another crucible and you can program another patch upgrade to make people different.

Synthesis, in the form it took in ME3, peddles the notion that the human condition is hopeless and should be altered for the sake of conveniance. And after scrapping through a galaxy, that notion just seems a bit of a fizzler

My Shepard has a girl to come back to. He has a duty to help repopulate his people like Wrex, he deserves the chance to become an ancestor.

Plus, with Synthesis, everyone is basically a husk, only a sunshine-and-lollypops version.

A lot of that is wrong. The new DNA isn't the reason. It makes organics on par with synthetics so when they go to war,no one is wiped out.t also makes the creation of synthetics obsolete since we as advanced as they can be.Synthetics now hw personalities and emotions and moral values.

A love story is far more important than the survival of synthetics? How is he going to help repopulate?A true hero doesn't worry about what they "deserve."How is everyone a husk?
