Title.
For the fun? For the deeps? For the survavibility? The score? I see so many of them, including players capable of handling themselves, so not in need for EZ mode, it made me wondering. I find it outclassed, boring, cheap. Am I missing out on something here, or just being a noob - or an elitist DB? [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/pouty.png[/smilie]

What's your take on the kit? Share! Teach me love!

P.S. Yeah I'm bored and sleep deprived.
EDIT TO AVOID FURTHER MISUNDERSTANDING: I don't, whatsoever, judge or categorize in any way people using or liking the TGI, nor do I avoid it because of his alledge OPness, I don't care about crutch - just play what you want, I'm asking your opinion.

I used to like it. My first plat match was done with him. But I hate the rocket dodge. Long animation and because of the omnikey, I always accidentally dodge when trying to sprint. His versatile definitely but these days I fare better with other infiltrators.

I only use him on platinum.

I find him outclassed by my gi-harrier on gold.

I haven't used him since I did my 200 waves. Most boring kit ever.

He's the only kit that makes the Typhoon feel awesome to me. I still rarely use him but when I'm in the mood for some Brophoon lulz he gets broken out on occasion.

He's a crutch. I used to use him almost exclusively when I would PUG gold. Not so much anymore, but if I want to relax or have that extra comfort and survivability when playing, I'll use him.

Otherwise, there a lot more characters whom are more fun than he.

What is wrong with playing the TGI? All kits are useful, all kits can be fun, all kits have value. There is no reason why people shouldn't use the TGI. As long as you maintain a healthy rotation of kits, theres nothing wrong with putting the TGI in there. Anyone that refuses to use a kit because it's a "crutch" is trying to prove something.

How can something "outclassed", but at the same time be too easy?

Assault Rifle Mastery, of course.

Somebody's going to earn 14k points with the Collector Assault Rifle. And I'm not subjecting characters which I actually love to such humiliation. So it's TGI to the rescue. :D

Only when I have everything less than level 15 and invited to Gold+ by friends. Other than that - it is too simple to play.

Sometimes I want to play without thinking. Sometimes I don't want to spend money on Ops Packs. Sometimes I want easy fire explosions. Sometimes I like it when ARs don't feel like water guns.

I am using it when I want to be reasonably sure that I will extract on Gold.

I use a range of kits, but I'm still relatively new to Gold and certainly in no shape to clutch with most kits. When I go to use my Ops Packs, half the time I pull out the Cobra because the button is awkward on the Ecks Bawks controller.

The TGI/Harrier may be cheesy to all you Gold/Plat vets, but wouldn't you rather us Gold noobs to pull our weight, or spend half the match reviving my Human Engineer?

Nothing wrong with it! I never said that, nor did I imply people shouldn't use it! Just play whatever the f*uck you want, if some don't like it then they can leave the lobby. I don't refuse to play the kit because it's a crutch, just because I don't like it; if people are entitled, rigthly, to play it, why shouldn't I be entitled not to?
Being outclassed means that other kits can be superior. Easy means there is no difficulty to play it. Because a kit does not require much skills to be played decently doesn't mean some kits - maybe harder to use - won't pull out more damage than the former. Like the Juggernaught for exemple.

I used it a few times when I first got the Harrier last week. It's a match made in heaven but it's also one of those lol combos that you have to use sparingly so as not to stifle your game.

I use it, but not with the Harrier. I use the Argus with Omni Blade and go for Melee Synergy. It is really fun to play him this way in my opinion.

When I'm low on consumables and need creds for JEP's, or when for the rare occasion I PUG plat.

It's probably the same reason why I play with every other character - because I simply feel like it.

It's a good class when you're searching for a pug game. You never know what quality of players you'll end up with so for a first match it's a good bet if you want to extract,

I pug platinum with him on very rare occasions, or play him on gold if my infils are low-level.

The kit is pretty dull though. The saber makes him a bit more entertaining, otherwise I'd just as soon be a turian soldier or sentinel.
