Okay, I want to take a stab at reeling in the excessive specular shine on Starfang.
However... I haven't the foggiest clue where the textures are stored. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which archive they're stored in?
Starfang textures?

Ideally, you wouldn't need to edit the texture, you could just edit/replace the tint. Weapon and armour gets tinted based on material type (steel, dragonbone, etc.), and the tints control both the diffuse colour and the specular colour and intensity. My understanding is that Starfang uses a custom material, starmetal. Presumably it uses a custom tint file. All you'd need to do would be to place a copy of one of the other weapon tints like steel or silverite (or your own custom one) in the Override folder and rename it to the appropriate filename. Unfortunately, I don't know what that is though. I don't own Warden's Keep and its files are encrypted anyway as part of the game's DRM (thus discussions of decrypting are against the forum TOS). What you could do I guess is check out some of the Starfang mods on the DA Nexus and see if there are any that override the default textures. You could then try throwing in a black RGBA texture with the filename of the spec map in the Override. However, I'm willing to bet that pretty much all Starfang mods will be model overrides, and thus likely call custom named textures. Worth a shot though I guess. Alternatively, contact one of those authors for info on the filenames of the defaults.
