Frank Gibeau EAVP has said months ago the game WILL have MP. Doesn't matter to EA if the players don't want it. We're getting it.

well then.... i guess there goes a good game that i use to love... sad..:(

No he didnt. He said all EA published games had an online component.

FYI both DAO and DA2 had an online component. Gibeau said nothing about multiplayer.

Also Aaron Flynn said at E# multiplayer wouldnt be shoe horned in. I honestly dont think DA3 will have any multiplayer.

lol may ur words be golden my friend:P all tho i doubt it but hey as the saying goes there is always hope right?

No, i am not even counting loyality missions as side missions. Nor am i counting fetchmestuff from ME3 or ME2.
Just look at how many N7 missions ME2 had. This category alone is more then all content side missions from the third game.

19 to 14, yeah. OTOH that would be a lot more hours for ME3.

This is 30+% more for ME2 N7 alone. And N7 quests are not the only content rich side quests in ME2. Granted several of ME3 side quests are really good , better then any side quest in ME2 but it is clear that there was less budget - or staff if you would like,it is budget-dependent anyway - for additional content.
You think it has nothing to do with developing decent multiplayer?

I feel like having a part of the team focus on multiplayer might take away from the single player experience. But I'm open-minded about it.

As long as it doesn't turn into ME3 where it affects the single player plot.

ME is a completly diffrent game and from what i heard it was kind of a shotter game of sorts  so ofc it did well as a MP

You've never even played ME, so how could you tell if it would fit with MP or not?

The view for MP in ME3 before it was released was overwhelmingly negative, then people enjoyed it after it came out.

i have played ME3, but I don't play the MP portion.  Some of the people I've talked to enjoyed the MP portion more than the game.  I'd rather enjoy the game since I don't play MP.   I wouldn't mind a separate DLC for it and never be aware it's out there. :)  If I had my wishes, I'd wish it away though.

I like it for some games but honestly I don't know how it will work with dragon age.

I would like to see Baldur's Gate style co-op. It's existence wouldn't affect your single player experience.

Yeah, I'm for multiplayer. That's the only way Bioware entertains me nowadays.

With EA shoving multiplayer into all it's games, I can't see it being any good in DA3. It's going to obligatory part and biower will probably force you to play mp to get full options from the game.

Albeit ME3 mp was actually the best part of it, so maybe there is some hope.

So it doesn't affect you at all, you know some people enjoy it, yet you'd wish it away?

I don't mind if there is an MP as long as it doesn't affect the SP game (like ME3 before EC ending). Have to say I am indifferent to MP.

I support MP, especially if said mode will allow me to play as and customize a character that is NOT human.

I get that Bioware wants to have the SP plot include a human protagonist; and that's fine; but I would really like to play as something else in MP; and not just the short humans with beards, or the humans with pointy ears, I'm talking (or writing) about playable Golems, Sylvains, Werewolves, Awakened, Malibari, ect.

I want to see the in-game world through the eyes of one of the more exotic and decidedly not human creatures of DA, I want to feel the lumbering power behind a golem's or Sylvain's strikes, and their effects on the environment and my enemies (Frostbite engine). I want to see the blood frenzy of a wolf man as I tear into enemy ranks, to see sync-kill animations as I knock down a foe and proceed to tear his throat out.

OP, why did you put in so many choices on the poll. You really only needed 3 to 4 choices.

I myself am against multiplayer as I feel it detracts from a game that is primarily a single player game.

The option I would pick is not present in the poll so here it is...

I am ADAMANTLY opposed to MP within the single player game, but do not care if there is some multiplayer offshoot (ie. Mass Effect 3) with a wholly different executable created by a different team.

However, not a dime of resources (time, money, or talent) should be wasted from the SP game budget.

I am a bit worried about the MP aspect in DA:I. I love these games and I don't want it to be the whole game and if it affects the single player campaign in a big way then I don't know if I will play it.

I put so many choices in the poll because I want to see what people think. The purpose of the poll is to find out what people think.  Making only 2-3 choices would force polarized results which almost NEVER a good representation of people's opinions.  I am not trying to say "HA! PEOPLE WANT IT!" or "HA! PEOPLE HATE IT!", I am looking for a good way to collect data that is as strongly correlated as possible to what people actually think in a readily digestible and understandable way.

Also, according to the poll, if I made a poll according to your standards (for/neutral/against), it would only represent about 60% the voters, and expecting the other 40% to fall in line with the rest. That sounds kinda botch, doesn't it?

C'mon, people, MP will make more players buy the game, not just download the pirate version for SP.

No it won't.  Some game series are single player series and switching several games into multiplayer won't increase that.  Dragon Age is one of those series and so was the Mass Effect trilogy.

Did you think the ME3 multiplayer increased sales for ME3?  Not really as everyone I know bought it for the single player.  Sure the multiplayer for ME3 was fun but it wasn't that good to sell the game to people that like multiplayer games over single player games.  It wasn't nearly as developed enough to make it that appealing.

Multiplayer is the singular reason why I have never regretted buying a Bioware game ... it saved ME3 for me.

The knowledge of some type of horde mode MP for DA:I would make me much more ameniable to buying the game even if I'm apprehensive about Bioware's ability to tell good stories any more.

Really? Huh. I usually hear the contrary to this. It's interesting to see what different people like about the same game.
