More importantly, she doesn't sound nor look like DA2 Cassandra anymore. Where is my Cassandra Pentaghast?

Some people have speculated they're using placeholders.

Another VA perhaps .

It's Miranda Raison, you can hear her special vocal tone in it. It might not be the final take on the dialog though.
Also, Mike confirmed that Cassandra was getting her VA back.

I had a feeling she would be back, but great to hear that we got a confirmation on that now <3

Now if they would just slim down Cassandra a little.

I just noticed this...Really, Bioware?
Now, who was saying she's not a romantic?
That is kinda...adorable actually.
Maybe it's similar to the unique outfits LI's got in DA2 if you romanced them?
Also we can add doors to the list of inanimate objects Cassandra doesn't like.

What would happen if Cassie and Varric became a pair?
My inquisitor would be heartbroken. And Varric might find himself falling over a cliff

Not gonna lie, I kinda a little bit swooned when she broke down that door.

Does that make her..a Princess... ?
Can my Inquisitor address her as Princess Seeker.. just to ****** her off for fun... or use "Your Majesty" or "Your Highness"..because she seems like the type who would despise such things...
Example :-
Cassandra :- "Inquisitor, we need to focus our attention on securing the keep"
Inquisitor :- Curtseys/bows "As you wish Your Majesty"...

Joking aside, she isn't in line for the throne. Neither the current king nor his brother have any known offspring, according to the Wiki page. Cassandra is probably a distant relative.
And I'm not sure if her allegiance to other organizations (such as the Chantry and now the Inquisition) exempts her from the monarchy.

Well, maybe a Cullen-Cassandra pair will make them gain more tears.

Cassandra and Varric as a pair would be the ultimate move for Bioware to gain endless fan-tears.

Ooh that would be a battle royale of the ages. j/k
In the event of a Cassandra/Varric hook-up, my inquisitor would have to take care of Varric, City Elf style with brandy and rat poison.

edit: not that the previous game didn't have this, but it was rarely shown outside party banter.

Screenshot from the PAX demo. Like many, I'm hoping she's romanceable in the game.
It seems that BioWare has made a mistake with Cass: When they remade her in the new engine they accidentally ported Aveline's face. Seriously, I mistook her for a guy until she spoke. I can't quite put my finger on the issue - the Aveline-esque jaw, the more rounded cheeks, the smaller cheekbones - but she just doesn't look like Cass.
EDIT: OK, looking back through the pics on her wiki page it may just be another bad angle/lighting issue because the DA:I pictures in that page's gallery look fine.
As for her being a LI, if she isn't I'll personally send her writer to the Void (kidding!). I want it to be between Cass and the mohawk elf chick. However, BioWare hasn't done many female warriors as LIs for a while (I don't know if BG2 had one, but since KotOR only ME1 Ashley would count) so I'm not holding my breath.

Putting aside the couple theory, I liked
the scene after Crestwood was destroyed, where Cassandra seems to
console Varric. Bioware mentioned in the official site that they'll show
that the companions will form different relationship between them. I
approve of this, and that scene could be a sign of it..
I do too, the fact that followers don't really interact much has been a big gripe of mine for the last couple of games. Now for evil speculation time: between this and BioWare's love of fan tears is it entirely possible that we'll get an Inquisitor/Cass/Cullen romance triangle (that we could lose)? That would be... interesting.

If she's not a LI (or she's not available to femquisitors) I'll personally tear the Veil in Bioware's office and let a Reaper-riding Archdemon enter.
Hear hear. Especially what you said in paragraphs. I want my LI to be feisty and a warrior, for once.

The Chantry/Inquisition allegiance probably means as much as Alistair's Warden ones: nothing when the "need is greater".
The DA2 collector edition game guide says she's a member of the Royal family as well and we know that her uncle, father and brother are dead, she's probably the "head" of her branch. I also find it interesting that the book says the current king and his brother have no known offspring. That just scream "there is one hidden!". Can't be a bastard though, they did this one with Alistair already.

Definitely not as pretty as she was in DA2.
Maybe once she and the Inquisitor get back to the stronghold they'll look better after they get cleaned up.
Then they can knock boots as Zevran would say. rotfl.
