If BioWare casts Jennifer Hale to do the VA of Cassandra then that would be an instant preorder for me.  She's only the most talented VA I've ever heard.

I apologize then. My friend from Schwaben pronounces "this" or "that" as "zis" and "zat".

There is the ''t'' and the ''z'' fraction. My first language is (Austrian) German, in our schools teachers want us to spell the English ''th'' as ''z'' because we simply cannot pronounce it (or its just hard) the proper way. However, some of us German speakers think saying ''zhis'' instead of ''this'' sounds horribly stupid so they use a hard ''t'' instead.

Considering that she is the right hand of the Divine I'm willing to bet that she was forced to read The Chant of Light, Unabridged Edition as a job requirment 

No wonder she hates books now.

I am not sure about her accent but I actually liked her character in DA2 (except that she hit varric). I hope she is an LI in DAI since I found her character awesome and she seemed like a girl who could kicka** and take names. my only complaint is the hair please change that horrid hair

In DA2 it's a little bit difficult to determine, because she lisps a bit. Some parts sounds German, but she also uses e.g. the "th". A real German person would only use the "t", e.g. "tis" and not "this".

This real German is telling you that for Germans who can't pronounce the "th" it usually comes out as as a voiceless "s".

I totally agree with you, but I don't want new Arishok to be Cassandra's enemy and I don't want a big war get started because of stabbing one ****ty book.

Yep from Nevarra... I would assume she would still consider herself Nevarran even though she stayed in Orlais and didn't go back to Nevarra after her village got ramsacked by those mages. Kind of like how Leliana considers herself Fereldan even though she lived in Orlais from a young age (and has a strong Orlesian accent).

Being the ignorant sot I am with accents, I always assumed Cassandra's accent was just like Leliana's, albeit more gruff though.

I'm wondering if she is still considered royalty. She probably still see's herself as Nevarran and a Pentaghast ofcourse, but I wonder if the right hand of the divine can be a legal heir.

The title "hand of the divine" is an honorary one. The question is more if Seekers can be legal heir and if Cassandra took vows (like Sebastian) or not. Although, as shown by Alistair, when there is nobody else left it doesn't really matters.

I don't know about that...I'm Italian and she always sounded germanish to me, or definitely not italian
Then again, I don't know how an Italian speaking English sounds to the ear of a native speaker, so I'm probabily wrong

Maybe Zevran's accent is closer to Sicilian? Or maybe he's Braavosi - err, wrong universe!
