I think her personal quest will probably involve that elven girl and that mage guy from Dawn of the Seeker. Can't romance her until you take care of the competition *sharpens murder knife*.Image IPB Unless he's dead or an abomination but if he's possessed then I can see that as a huge part of personal quest.
I do hope she doesn't end up like Aveline and is non-romancable.

I like the way you think, the ideal tool for nearly every situation. Might have to "Remove" Regalyan from the equation. "Stab all your problems away"
As for her being non romacable like Aveline, I'm 99% sure she will be a romance option

Yeah, for now I do not see the big fuss about Cassandra.

Pretty, though-as-nail, intelligent, romantic what is there not to like?

You'll have to go through the agressive personality though...and her issues too.

LoL when she is intelligent in her movie she is dumb and in da 2 her intellect wasn't her strength.

Pretty? i would argue

I'm hoping her hero of Orlais status is brought up in some aspect. Theres a lot of stock put into the warden being the hero of ferelden and Hawke being the champion of Kirkwall, It'd be a shame if they downplayed her role from DOTS.

That being said, since shes a hero like the warden and Hawke, shes lucky she hasn't disappeared. Yet!

Have the romance options been confirmed yet? I'm thinking she's probably one of them.

What would make her join the Inquisition?
Varric's interrogation happens after the split between Seekers plus Templars and the Chantry but in it, we see Cassandra remained loyal to the Divine along with some Seekers.

Was the Divine killed as hinted in the leak and Cassandra joins to discover who did it?
But then, GameInformer hinted she had been travelling with Varric which suggests she had abandoned her group of Seekers prior to the Veil opening. Was Varric traveling along with the Seekers? Doubtful.

Though I am interested in seeing how she develops, for now, I think she's been given the "Boba Fett" treatment. When Fett first appeared in the second and third Star Wars movies, there was suddenly a massive fandom about him; however, he'd had very little dialogue and we knew nothing about him, so people attributed so many attributes and qualities to him. I just hope that all these assumptions; that Cassandra is "intelligent, strong, romantic, companionable" are satisfied, because if Bioware lets Cassandra fans down, it won't be good. In the end, we still know little about her, so for now, I think we should keep our assumptions low and expectations high.

Boba Fett didn't get a 90 minutes anime movie just to show his backstory before he showed up in the third movie.

The intelligent/strong is coming directly from the dev in the DotS backstage video (they also hint at the overarching story of DA/Thedas in it). The romantic, we have examples of in both DAII and DotS: her behavior after Hawke killed the Arishock and the way she keeps talking about her brother in DotS (in a creepy way).

Companionable? She's grouchy, brash and her concept of an handshake is threatening people with weapons. Also, stabbing things...

In that sense, she sounds less of an independent, strong Chantry devotee, and more of a sociopathic, deranged cultist. In that case, I still don't understand her gigantic fandom.

Cultist, no. Sociopathic, yes.

She's badass, this alone explain the gigantic fandom.

Her accent always sounded german to me. Isn't Zevran's the spanish one? I don't think they sound alike.

Zevran theorically is Italian but I assure you that "Mi amor" is spanish. The same phrase in italian is "Amore mio" they both means my love. And italian also tend to say tink instead of think because we don't have a similar sound in our language

Yeah it does come across that way, that if you become a Hero or Champion in Thedas you are destined to ' mysteriously disappear ' at some point. Yet rather preposterously Cassandra has so far dodged her date with destiny and continues to buck the trend.

Zevran says "Si amore" which is "yes, love" in Italian. I don't remember him saying "Mi amor", but I could be wrong.

Possibly, but as a Theirin didn't Alistair have dragon blood, might've changed in the comics but in Origins he wasn't exactly prone to outbursts.

I like her because she seems like she could be a really interesting and complex charactor. She's clearly passionate, has a temper, and is very serious about what her role is as a Seeker/Inquisitor, but in DA2 she also seems to have a softer or even romantic side to her, something I'm sure will be expanded on in Inquisition.

i have but one question (concerning the picture in the opening posting):

why does she have god-damned scars (not that they are that disfiguring) now, when she was un-marred in DA2 and Dawn of the Seeker? (do you (that goes for Bioware-Devs, too) think that makes her more sexy or what?)

greetings LAX
ps: they say chicks dig scars, but i don't think men do (not that i don't think she is pretty though)

Maybe they added the scars to give her a more unique look, or possibly to emphasize her tough/brash personality, possibly to make it more rewarding/surprising to discover her (hypothetical) soft(er) side?

As for their affects on her appearance, I don't necessarilly "dig" scars, but I don't think they make her less attractive.

Minor facial scars probably wouldn't stop my elven mage from invading her Chantry, so to speak. ;)

An Inquisition is nasty business people, always has been, always will be (Today we would refer to it as blacklisting). People who have no position or authority in the Inquisition start making accusations against anyone and everyone.

They all have their reasons and agendas for doing so. I suspect there will be plenty of people screaming "My neighbor's a Blood Mage!", when what he really wants is take over his neighbor's farm and lands Or "This woman is possessed by a demon from the Fade!", when what she really wants is to remove a romantic rival who has the attention of a suiter she's wants for herself.

Having a relationship with Cassandra in the middle of all of this when she might disagree with you on who needs to be charged with whatever crimes a person is accused of could be problematic.
