I don't think current gen gamers should be left out. If you're going to release a game on both generations, you don't restrict those using current gen. You just don't. That's like saying, "Here, everyone gets cake! But only the rich kids get icing!"

I'd be fine with higher quality options for next gen, because honestly I don't care about that sort of thing. But to deny content to the current gen gamers is just... well, wrong, honestly. Like I said, you don't give a kid cake and then deny him icing. You just don't.

That's an entire year of game releases, surely you wouldn't be buying a new console just for Dragon Age.

I was not going to buy any of the new consoles. I don't want consoles anymore.

Then get a better PC.  

If you can't even do that, then gaming might not be for you by next year.

Personally, I have my doubts the current-gen versions will be any less awesome. It does depend on the extent of the extra bonus they add to the next-gen counterparts, but as long as the core game stays the same, you can think of the next-gen bonus as just that - a bonus.

I'm still playing on Xbox One, however.

I assume the "larger maps" will most likely be that the current-gen systems will have loading screens around the specific area, while next-gen will not.

Though what do I know.

I know what you mean. I guess for me it is already a given that I'm getting a PS4 because Witcher 3 and Infamous Second Son hit the console in the spring and I don't feel like upgrading my PC. haha. I have a 360 and will continue to play that (great games like Batman Arkham Origins and Dark Souls 2 are headed there). But as long as the version of DAI for the PS4 does not alter the main story that is found in the 360 version, would that suffice?

I just want to know what the real difference will be.  Specifics.  For example, in 360, you'll just be limited to the main map.  If you want to extend your game/adventure to Ferelden, then that will only be an option in 360/PS4 "because cloud". LOL.

FYI: The Witcher 3 will be on XBox One.
