Why is it that whenever I decide to head into Quick Match, I either get put into a match in progress where 2 out of 3 people are dead, and one is about to bleed out? Why is it that when I find what I think to be a decent lobby, they somehow wind up beeing leechers, who do nothing to contribute? Is it my banner? Nope, because I went into SP before searching for a game to get rid of it. Is it my N7/CP? No, I'm a scrub. I just don't get it...

PUGs pls, why do you hate me so much? Por que? :crying:

At least you don't go to quick match, only to become the host of your own lobby, which never fills...

Check loadouts in lobbies, and see if it makes sense for the players' characters. That's the best check.

My PUG games are pretty ok, I'm not very skillful myself but I tend to get more successful teams with players better than me than teams with really bad players.

One thing I do hate though, is that when you load up on ammo, gear and mods etc, and the game is going well, the host suddenly left because he's not a top scorer or simply got angry with whatever that is (missed a head shot?). I don't have that many consumerables (especially ammo mods) and any lost like that is simply wasted.

Can't do much if like the OP, the game drops you into a game already in progress with 2 of them dead and 3rd already bleeding on the floor.

When my friends aren't on I window shop lobbies like a hobo with a coupon!!! Image IPB

If you get too picky the PUG Gods will surely drop ur ars in a Hazard Collectors/Geth match with two downed noobs and a scrub getting stomped out in front of you... I know your pain.

The problem isn't the loadouts, those have been pretty okay from what I remember. It's the fact that they refuse to put any effort in whatsoever.. They bleed out immediately during objective waves, and if they don't then they're nowhere near the objective at all. They'll also find a way to get synced by the slowest moving enemies, or just stand and get shot until they die and proceed to bleed out. Not even trying to hide the fact that they're leeching is what pisses me off... If it happened once every 5 lobbies, sure, whatever. It was 4 or 5 consecutive last time I played, and what that amounted to was just wasted time.

None of my PUGs before this were amazing, but they were never this terrible.

You could try hosting your own lobbies, host advantage can be very significant in this game. Might help you if you get stuck with crappy players.

Joined a Vancouver match in progress once. Was using the Collector Adept. All the others had just bled out. Had to finish off the wave. Was a hell of a surprise.

You cant win. There is no solution except playing with friends. I have tried, and it is almost always a grindfest playing with these new PUGs. I just equip up and head out. Definitely helps your solo skillz!

I usually try to complete objectives and help/revive teammates during any game. I guess I'm one of the few who don't really care about points.

Loadouts aren't necessarily indicative of good players, but are the best signs that I've found. It's not a "fool" proof indicator, so to speak. Not putting on good high level consumables is also the first sign of a leecher. Explosive ammo doesn't count, for example. It's not a sure thing. I've played with plenty of good players that skimped on loadout consumables, but they are few and far between. Just playing the statistics. Hate to say it, but loadout profiling is a reality. ;)

As I've said before, getting dropped into a bad game in progress sucks, and I wish there was an options setting to disable joining games in progress...

If they did any of that, I'd be fine. I wouldn't complain at all, but they seem to be allergic to Waves 3, 6, and 10.

That's my point, PUGs try to go solo and rack up as many kills as possible, which usually ends in utter disaster. At least they can provide a distraction, while I complete the objectives. It sucks, but it's often the only possible way to go.

What's annoying are those that slow up hacking circles or escort missions by being off on their own, inevitably getting killed, they cry for help, no one revives them, they don't gel, and rage quit. Probably not wearing consumables either. This is number zero in the PUGers profile. ;)

Played a Gold pug/Reactor Hazard/Collectors about 2 weeks ago. Drop in *on wave 1* and everybody's dead. Lucky for me I had my lolTGI/Harrier ready to roflstomp all the things. But I was halfway to the quit mission button.

We ended up extracting but I understand what you're feeling.

Well, to be perfectly honest this doesn't happen to me that often. I usually get at least a decent player per pug and rarely leechers. Although I had a game on Dagger today in which some dude did not kill an enemy the entire game... However, it makes my e-peen grow so whatever.

As a person who likes to play a front line class in a support role, I find most PUGs to be very satisfying. It only gets dull when everyone is really good, then there is no one for me to support.

It normally doesn't happen like this to me either.. Today must be a crappy day for PUGing (at least for me).
