I make no secret of the fact that I strongly dislike DA2...that said...I was very sad to hear this Expansion Pack was cancelled. Although I guess I'm not surprised since so many ppl were disappointed and stopped spending money on DA2 stuff, Legacy was fantastic, I thought it was the best Dragon Age DLC to date. Mark of the Assasin was...rather irrelevant to be honest, was basically just a Felicia Day fangasm. But when I heard about Exaulted March I was actually sad. First of all because that meant the story of Hawke would never get any closure. Secondly because "Exaulted March" just sounds like 10 different kinds of bad ass. I'm sure ppl have talked about this before...but I haven't hung around BSN much since DA2 came out. Does anyone have any thoughts about what might have happened? what they would have wanted to see from it? Do you think some of it will be integrated into DA:I and play out there instead? I am curious how people feel about this.

Sounds to me like you have some pretty mixed feelings.  You "strongly dislike DA2" and yet you apparently wish there'd been more DLC so your Hawke could "get closure."  Am I reading you right?

For what it's worth, I felt the same about DA2 when it first came out.  I replayed it lately and it didn't seem nearly as bad as I'd remembered.  Maybe it's because my expectations were lower, knowing what to expect, but I decided it was a reasonably playable, entertaining riff on Thedas.  I got tired of the fetch quests, recycled terrain, and trash mobs spawning from the skies, too, but the mobs were still fun to slaughter.  Certainly DA2 suffered badly in comparison to DAO, but DAO was just about the best RPG I ever played so that's not too surprising.  If you don't see DA2 as a botch from the box, it's still a match for most other RPGs out there.  JMHO.

I agree Legacy was some pretty awesome DLC.  Good levels, good battles, good loot, and some very cool lore about darkspawn in a game that missed their presence.  Assassin gave me the yawns as well.  Maybe Felicia Day's dulcet cosplay-girl tones do it for other fanboys, but not this guy.  Tallis should have been dangerous, Felicia made her sound goofy.  I usually left her at the cave exit because a blind nug could see her plans usually led somewhere unpleasant and messy.   JMHO.

So all in all, I didn't mind hearing Exalted March was cancelled, since I knew it was basically be incorporated into Inquisition anyway.  I don't need a lot of closure for my PCs when their game is over, so as far as I'm concerned, Hawke can stroll off into the sunset with whichever ill-suited LI he or she got saddled with.  I'm ready for a new story and a new protagonist.  DA2 was rushed anyway and I figured I'd rather have them get a jump start on a better game. Why use development resources for throwaway add-ons to the button-masher when you could spend them on the new frachise-saver?  More DLC for DA2?  Enough lipstick on the pig already.
