Enemy spawnpoints so you can plan the battles unlike DA2 when they come from all fronts, that turn it more into "Almost" non tactic hack and slash, Tactical combat ( yes this goes hand in hand with enemy spawning) and pls don't make all companions uber annoying either thx.

The combat being like dynasty warriors. I saw DR3 and they can put a lot of characters on screen now. I don't want to be hack and slashing through countless waves.

Also it would be disappointing if there wasn't an "upload EA game saves" option since I will be buying a PS4 and continuing my dragon age (and Mass Effect) stories from that console. The latter is a choice I'm making though so I don't hold bioware accountable

Multiplayer. I don't want it nor does the game need it. Immersive RPGs where your character is the focus suffer when you try to force some sort of multiplayer. What I really don't want to see is Horde mode like ME 3. Nor do I want Chantry Vs mage sympathizers team death match. If we must have a social aspect. Do what origins did and simply have optional story updates for peoples stories where you can also post your screen shots up on BSN.

Not being Emperor of Orlais or Imperial Archon/Magister in Tevinter.

Also no variety in armours and helmets especially since this will be in Orlais.

It's going to have mp.
That's EA's call.
shrugs.
Poor character interaction. Ridiculous or poorly conceived and designed/implimented romances like in DA2.

I hope there isn't a mass of obvious cost cutting measures like in DA2.
- Ridiculous fetch quests
- almost non existent npc interaction
- low res background npcs
- all npcs wearing the same clothes, like the dwarves in DA2
- One dimensional/one note companions
- etc

Whatever limitations forced the Dwarves to only have one gender needs to be fixed, and hopefully will with the new engine.

Forced Origin requirement

Forced Multiplayer participation (Wishing it isn't there at all is not realistic)

ETA: Rigidly scripted romances like in DA2/ME series. Talk once per act, fool around right before the ending.

eavesdropping fetch quests ala ME3 I would rather not have the quest than have it reduced to that. This is an RPG I should be talking to NPC's not eavesdropping on them. It makes it impersonal and a little creepy

@frostajulie Seconded - please no eavesdropping fetch quests. It's better not to have a quest at all rather than have that kind of pointless filler.

All quests have to have a cutscene convo associated with them otherwise it leaves the world feeling soulless and empty.

Bland love interests.
Lack of customisation.
No tie ins to previous story arcs or seeing former team mates.
Possible choppy story.
Having ME3s ending.

Please don't fail me Bioware.

Thank you for reminding me. It would be nice for there to be more things you can do with your LI than just talk and fool around, how about going on an actual date? Or even getting married! Is that too much?

Junk would disappoint me. I don't like picking up torn trousers. I've been trolling around saying stuff like this.

I would like to see a more innovative economy system. Scavenging through sacks and corpses doesn't seem like something the PC would be doing. Exploring is nice, but it shouldn't become trash picking.

After Dragon Age II (which should have been a warning, yet I had too much faith in the Mass Effect team to let it influence my preconcieved notions of the following title) and, of course, the Mass Effect 3 fiasco, I'm willing to significantly dull my expectations for DA3.

I'm afraid to think along those lines.. They can pull it off, and hopefully not be branded with an inability to make a good trilogy.

I think it seems like some people will be disappointed if they aren't disappointed. How can you complain if the game is good?

Hackneyed 'It turns you evil/drives you mad/amplifies your Dark Side' red lyrium plot.

A quote from the DA3 : Inquistion site,

"Explore a vast, fantasy world at the brink of catastrophe in Dragon Age™: Inquisition, a next-generation action RPG, where your choices shape and drive the experience."

Now where did we last read / heard / had that sold as a driving point for a Bioware game only right at the end, nope, you weren't given a choice at all?

I think they will counter that by saying shapes the "experience" not the "ending."  Then they'll hit you with the cliched, "It's the ride, not the destination."

Bioware was all about making games, so I think they'll be receptive to the past criticizisms.  But let's not forget they were bought by EA.  They are now just a cog in the money / marketing machine.  When it comes to EA, you know they love nothing more than money, so you'll have to vote with your wallet.

Pre-orders are basically an invitation for them to do whatever they want.  If you want your thoughts to be heard, don't pre-order.  Let EA press Bioware, and have Bioware come to ask the fans why they aren't buying.

I hope it won't be so but I reckon it will be the lack of all the little and unexpected things that made Origins and ME1 so great. We want surprises like walking through tunnels and ending up in a Dwarf's shop or foiling a heist attempt while about to turn a random corner.

I would be disappoined by not being able to perform recon on enemies up ahead. (wave spawning enemies make me sad.) I would also be disappointed if traps and posions were gone. If the battle animations were over the top constantly a little flair move now and then is fine. If I couldn't utilize a ranged and close quarter weapon (i.e. switching from my crossbow to my sword.) If any of the characters from da2 return... then they better have some character depth. varic was an exception.  Oh and considering how difficult face reconstruction for the warden would be, its best for him simply to be spoken of by romanced character x or character with highest approval.  yup thats about it.

I would be disappointed if:

I didn't like any of the companion characters.

They don't bring back loot.

They give us zero companion customization.

They didn't improve on or get rid of the advanced class system. (Specialization system?)

They shipped with bugs that break the narrative, AGAIN.

They forgot to write an ending, AGAIN.

Seriously though. Exploration + Barty banter + Pretty LI + Good combat = i'm sold.
