just downloaded the patch 1.0.1 and now my game wont play. i also have the issue

of not being able to log into my bioware account, the one i was able to log into just days

ago with the same password the same password that does not work WTF is up with

your support ?

Exchanged my game disc today. Same EXACT bug. This is stupid. **** you Bioware. I will never waste money on one of your piece of **** games again. Why don't you try and get your **** out of beta before you release it and charge people to test your garbage for you. **** you.

Hello everyone!

I loaded my game yesterday and it worked great - except for the miserable time i had with the camera zoom flapping in and out at the most inopportune times.

Before going to bed, I downloaded the coupon things I got with my game and then the patch. I waited for it to get 100% and move to the downloaded window. I shut down the system. when I loaded the game this morning, all I get is the DA-O loader window. All it will do when I click the Start Button is click. I can get into the other buttons and options but the game does not load. Nothign else has changed. I even have Micro$$$oft autoupdater turned off. My antivirus was update prior to my loading the original game.

I did clear out the cache files as someone posted, restarted the game, tried launching from a disk insert, etc etc etc.  I am no MCSE or anything, but I have been playing games for some time. so I do understand the loading/install process.

I am running the game from Drive D, though both my HD are identicle in model and manufacturer.


I am running XP - sp3
Asus  P6T MB
i7  970  3.2 Mhz quad processor
3x2 GB  Tri- Corsair Memeory DDR3
ATI  Radion  HD  4870 x2  


I hate the thought of digging through the huge document of what if's and try this. The install takes about a half an hour, but what about all the content. I've not even seen it in game yet 

please help if you can.

Van - I love these types of games. Since the trailor came out, I even reloaded moy old Dungeon Siege 2 - with the 312,453,763 mods I normally use . I know thats the reason I am having zoom problems, and I can live with that. I love the game and story line. I play with max graphis and sound and stiull wish the views from the castles and cliffs was more realistic. I loved the world in Oblivion 4 and Cysis. But again, I can live with it. I am totally immersed ( or was) in the story line.



But now I am at an impass. I'd even sacrifice my downloadable content to be able to get it back again, though it saddens me to lose out on it. hopefully someone has a viable fast solution thats easy for me to do.

Same for me, installed patch 1.01. Clicked play. Nothing happens at all.

This post about the C++ update fixed the problem for me. WOOHOO!!! thanks for whoever did the research for that. Now I'm back in Blood... er... Business.



Its about a 2.5 Meg file for XP (x86) and requires a restart - no suprise there - then worked without issues.

My game can't seem to run smoothly. It's always hitchy and jaggy, with frequent skipping on the dialogue and music. Often times, the game crashes spontaneously. I have all the required system specs and more on Windows 7, but the game always stretches my computer the the limit, taking 100% of the processor.



I'm running:

Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5 GHz

3 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeoForce 8400M GS

32-bit Windows 7

Right will anyone be able to help me out here?! No matter what I try to
do I have the same two problems each time I run the game;



1)
a hardly noticeable problem, whenever I hit tab to highlight for names
etc everyone and everything besides myself has a bizarre name such as
'bhf_10001_mother'!



2) the big one! When i enter a
conversation with someone I can here them speak but it just keeps
running through their diolog without giving me the chance or choice to
reply!



As you can imagine this is DAMN irritating as, of
what I have played, I already love this game but I aint got a clue what
going on because of the lack of communication!

I have tried playing the game both with and without the patch.... didnt work

I have reinstalled the game FOUR F*****G TIMES...... still didnt work

I bought and downloaded DA yesterday and it played fine. Today I updated the game with the new patch via Impulse and now when I try and hit play it asks me to validate the game again. When I re-enter the validation code it will not let me play because it says the code it already in use. I only have one computer and I am not trying to load it on a second why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Check the Tech support forums for the "clicking play and nothing happens" bug. There's a sticky thread for it. It involves installing an update to the MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable.

Thanks I went ahead and did that but the issue wasn't the same I was able to hit play just fine and had no loading issues last night while playing it seems EA is having an issue with my validation code and its no longer working.

yes my validation code no longer works either it keeps asking me to re enter my serial number and when i do it tells me its invalid.........help so lame

here is my problem, i have no clue if a nother have the same.



I installed the toolset, making my game to bug, i uninstalled it and it didn't fix my problem, i reinstalled the game, restarted my Pc and still not working.



Let me explain in details.



After installing the toolset, i wasn't able to take any transaction, my character is in the dream part of the game, the part i'm inn is over so i have to go in another are, but can't, the piedestal(if that is the way to spell it) is not working, after several attempt, i chose to do the game again with another character, but when i wanted to create a new character, it said that it wasn't able to load the module, i uninstalled the toolset and it didn't work, i uninstalled the game and restarted my PC, after patching the game and still nothing.



Anyone have a solution for me?

Hello, new the community here.
I just bought the game last night and I'm noticing for some reason my graphics are really suffering. For one I cannot see character portraits and the inventory screen doesn't show the character either. The graphics are set to low and lag and there are missing pixels.


Right now I'm running a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics card, could that be the problem?
If so would this one ( www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp) be adequate to run the game?

Please help, so far I love the game, but the graphic problems do get old.

Hi,
I just bought the game from gamestop and it is not reading the disc.  I had the same problem with WotLk.  It was a combination of my CDROM and Vista.  I ended up having to rewrite my driver.  Is anyone else having these issues? 
I remember I have to run something as administor and enter in a website type deal, but other than that I am lost.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!! So I'm stuck at Redcliffe, right at the "The Attack at nightfall" Quest. I Googled it and it seems a sh*t ton of other people are having the same problem, VERY CONVENIENTLY it autosaves 1 second right before everyone has the bug, Great effin job Bioware way to uphold your reputation as the glitchiest/buggiest game developing company, Thought by now you'd learn. ANYWAYS my last actual save was 5 hours back, I stupidly don't safve quite as often as I should because I expect not to get bugfuc*ed when I pay $75 dollars for a game(collectors) Anyways me and alot of other people aren't gonna play til it gets patched, so hurry up and right your wrongs, especially for the 360 version.

I have tryed to loggon for several days and the same error each time if i open an browser can loggon to the hompage http://social.bioware.com but i cant loggon with in the game :-(

DigitReaper, your 6200 is below spec as is the 7300 GT on that link. You would want a card that is more recent, which doesn't necessarily have to be high end either. For budget prices, and AGP cards (if your computer is running an AGP that is), I am looking at the XFX Radeon HD 4650 on that tiger direct site. That -should- be enough to run the game smoothly with graphics sliders up depending on your processor, and ram, etc.

Ensure that your processor is up to spec and that you indeed have enough RAM though.  You need at least an intel core 2 or an AMD dual core at 1.8 ghz.  You also want maybe a gig and a half of RAM.  4 ideally.  Hope this helps.

I redeemed my dlc codes and downloaded them then the addins file got corrupted so i did a fresh install and now i can't get my dlc back and i can't continue from before and i was about 30 hours in can someone please help

So EA's system knows me and also knows me not. It knows me only partially.
