I have random crushes and sometimes the screen sometime glitch like it's having interferences and the breastplate in the dragon armor in my elf char it appear all black but if I change to other character in the game it's appear normal.

Intel core 2 quad CPU Q6600 2.40Ghz 2.30 GHz
3Gb of RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
Windows XP home

hey its seems that connecting to Dragon Age Server takes forever.. is there any solution for that? forwarding specific ports? something? thanks

also visual C++ solution doesn't work for anyone it seems, I recommend reinstalling but copy your saves...just to be sure...

heard so many great things about bioware games, it is so unfortunate my first experience with their games would go so ****ty

What about the problem with the internet connection, I still can't download my bonus content in-game even though I redeemed my keys successfully. Log in is greyed out and it says that there is no internet connection. Anyone worked that one out???

Seriously guys isn't Bioware's fault..(altough "decidin" to party with them was a mistake imho)

it's EA's!

1 paid for the digital deluxe edition

2 pre-downloaed (so money were already out the bank account)

3 installed the game (great game tbh)

4 waited for the redeem code email

5 waited some more

6 contacted via support site = no answer yet

7 contacted via email, recieved answer, sayin problem was taken into consideration in the next "few" hours

8 waited some more more

9 contacted again via email (still no answer on the official support page), recieved a second answer, which wasn't takin into consideration my first one (which fyi was still quoted under the new one -.-)

conclusion?

EA support services is bad..very bad..actually at the treshold of cheating.

Next step?

for me waiting some more days then starting something more "law related", i'm sick of being foled

for Bioware, consider showing to EA the exit door

i guess i should ask again.  is it possible to set the screen resolution to 1920x1200?  the maximum the DA Config allows me is 1440x900.  its okay for windowed mdoe, but id like to play it full screen. 

please respond.  my approval bar will get an instant +100 for you if you do (romance possible)

For those of you that are having issues with the Dragon Armor as Dwarven Nobles..... I got around this by not activating my DLC until after I had gotten to Ostagar. Once I was there I activated the DLC and got all my gear. I don't think you can get it any other way as a Dwarven Noble. There you go for what its worth.

I have my game set at 1920 x 1080 which is the highest I've seen in the game setup.   But there's not too much difference between that and 1900 x 1200

DON'T DOWNLOAD PATCH 1.01

Many can't start the game because of it, I have a solution If you've already installed it.
This requires 2 computers. Just install the game on another computer and then copy it's .exe file.
What the patch 1.01 does is wierd. My daorigins.exe file which were patch was 0.01 mb larger then the original daorigins.exe file.

It's wierd since you download this patch from the official website (right here).

But I guess Bioware will soon do something about this... I hope.

i dont have that option either.  like i said, the highest it lets me choose is 1440x900.  well except 1600x1200, but thats a 4:3 ratio which drasticly stretches the image on my monitor. 

does anybody know why its giving me limited options?

I can't get Dragon Age to finish download on Vista 64 bit Windows PC, error occurs at 75% or 98% completion but never fully completes and then errors out.  Does my wife need to run her PC in compatibilty mode and if so where do I tell Vista to run in compatibilty mode during the download.

I was successful in downloading Dragon Age to my Windows XP 32 bit system and then copied the files over to the Vista PC but seems like a regedit is in order to fix this issue.

I need a solution and some help to begin playing this game.

Very disappointed at this point.

I have purchased this game, enjoyed the 10 mins I played and then made the mistake of redeeming the codes I got with my $79 deluxe edition. Now the game doesn't start and all the troubleshooting I have done as recommended by the other players has not worked.



I am very angry/disappointed/irritated at your lack of planning. This is not a MMORPG, so I don't accept the "bear with us, we're working on issues" crap. A patch/downloadable content item should not render a game unplayable.

Just bought and started playing the game (via steam), was able to run through up to picking up the female mage. After getting her into the party and attempting to move on to my first real city the loading screen never finishes loading. At one sitting I left it to load for an hour. If I attempt to window out during this load I can not return to the game and must close it down completely.



Not getting any errors, it's just not doing anything once I hit that loading screen.

it's supposed to detect supported options... what graphics card do you have?

Regarding the Warden's Keep not showing up on world map. I've tried downloading the settings file from other forums. I've also tried disabling/enabling and that does not work either. I also tried deleting the warden's keep folder but i just asks me to buy it again. I might have to rely on torrents, clearly I'm too used to having developers actually release patches effectively and quickly.

screen keeps going all red, green or blue. at red can see charecters but not on green or blue, that is all i see and then will go back to full color. what gives?

Possible causes (and solutions where available)
1)your settings are too high, turn them down

2)your drivers need to be updated (visit your card's manufacture's website and get the newest ones)

3)the card is overheating

4)the graphics card is beginning to fail

radeon 4850. 

in the game config menu, when i go down to the system information, it shows that my monitor is running in full resolution.  it simply does not have an option for it in the dragon age video settings.
