Where to Find *Official* Dragon Age: Origins PC Game support

I installed the game with no problem, I did the Warden's Keep download with not problems.  Then I kept crashing to desktop and thought that the 1.0.1 patch might help with that.

I downloaded and installed the patch ( I havea Vista 64 bitt OS).   Now the game won't even load.  great job on the patch thanks!!!

So, not knowing what to do I uninstalled the game, re-installed it and figured I was good to go.  I thought I could just load a saved game and I'd be playing again!   WRONG, you can't  load any saved games that occured AFTER you installed the Warden's Keep DLC.

Ok, so lets download it again, guess I have to buy more points, so I have the points and no DLC's appear in the panel in the game.  Then I logged in and the download was sitting there.  Well, now I have points towards the other download, which doesn;t appear on the list anymore.   This whole DLC crap is turning into a real mess.

So now I download it and it gets to 100% and stops.  I close the program restart the game and its now gone, no longer there to download and not installed.

So now what?  You charge for downloafable content that you can't download.  You rig the save games so even though I havent even gotten to the actual quest I can't play any saves because I did the download already? 

If your crappy patch disn't screw up the whole game in the first place I woouldn't even be going through all this.

So how do we fix this?  I see from the 15 odd pages of complaints that EA doesn't know or care about fixing it, just keep sucking up the cash for the points to buy downloads that don't work!

Is there any way to separate the right click functionalities? I'm so tired of clicking on party members when I'm simply trying to rotate the camera, or loot a corpse during battle when I'm simply trying to rotate the camera, or move half way across the battle field and breaking aggro when I'm simply trying to rotate the camera... Why ever someone thought it was a good idea to bind camera control and action control to the same key is beyond me. Anyway, its a source of endless frustration to an otherwise phenomenal game. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

Im stuck in the mages tower i got her to lower the barrier and it still wont let me through if anyone has solved this giltch plz PM my profile this is the second charater that this has happened on and im getting sick and tired of it ugh thx guys

well you have to either find a book or do a certain event or talk to your party members to get the specializations for instance the arcane warrior you have to get to the end of the dalish werewolf story line and u can learn to become one in then

Sephiroth,

Fort he mages tower when the barrier goes down I had a similar problem.  If you stick to the very right of the passage way it'll let you squeeze through. 

For your specializations,  you get 1 point at level 7 and another at 14.  Have you already assigned your first specialization to say, shapeshifter or spirit healer?

hello,through the game ive earned enough points(580) to download the warden's keep addon(costs 560) but when i view downloadable content in the main menu i have nothing(0 points).How can i spend these point for the addon?

Hello, i have a little problem, i accedentaly delited my AddIns

in my D:\\Documents and Settings\\.........\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings folder and now i can't see DLC - in Downloadable Content menu. What to do??

Sorry, I don't know if this question has been posted before. I downloaded the game on Steam, and upon the first few launches, it provided me with a pre-order CD Key that I copied down and subsequently lost. Now, I can't find the CD-Key, and I don't know how to access it again on Steam. I want to redeem my pre-order goodies, where can I find the CD-Key again? Thanks so much for any help granted!

Go into your Steam "Games" tab and right click on Dragon Age: Origins. Choose "View game CD Key".

Personally I'm getting quite annoyed now. I pre-ordered the Steam "Digital Deluxe Edition" almost a month ago now, I downloaded the game when it was released, installed it correctly, had already made my social site profile with the charactor creator. I signed in both in and out of game, registered my game and then redeemed my keys, EXACTLY as directed. It said the keys were redeemed correctly, yet there is NOTHING in my downloading tab in the game for DLC. I checked back on the Social site to see what I had "Unlocked", but there is nothing there except the "Lucky Stone" I got for using the Character creator. So my keys did NOT redeem properly. However I can no longer use them as they've already been used, hence no longer valid. I want my keys properly attached to my account so I can download all of the extra material I was promised when I purchased the game . I sent a question to EA support. They didn't bother answering in the last 2 weeks. A second question got two updates, both of which had little to do with my asked question. I finally submitted a 3rd question 3-4 days ago now and I still have yet to get any response. I am justifiably annoyed at this stage. I've been taking my time, playing through slowly so that hopefully they get their act together before I finish and I can access the content I purchased 3 weeks ago. Anyone else have any further advice ? I believe that EA / Bioware will need to re-attach my keys to my profile, I'm guessing there's little I can do until they deign to answer me.

I can't move items into the quickbar. And the game just switches off randomly, sending me back to my desktop. What a buggy piece of crap this game is so far! The patch hasn't helped with these issues either.

Game works after i uninstalled it and left out the patch , after i patched the game wouldnt load agin so the patch is the problem ! And i uninstalled it agin worked fine, loaded patch and the game wouldnt load so its a problem on there end because it worked befor the patch. .

Also the shale needs the patch to play I believe also which i cant use because the patch will not allow me to launch the game (play button)

I am unable to log in to my account through the game. The Game tells me I am not connected to the internet. I have Cable service so am always connected. I have attempted to seek help through support.ea.com and that link appears to be broken. I tried to e-mail you through the support link and that is not happening. This looks like the only avenue open to get help thru. Some assistance would be nice. Thank you.

If you are running a hyper threaded capable CPU, try disabling the hyper threading. I did it and I no longer have any performance issues and my screen loading went from 2 minutes to a few seconds. It sure made area transitions and using the over-land map way quicker !

I have some problems too but much more technical. I put the game on C drive then moved it to Ldrive. I have the collectors edition and redeemed the codes unfortunately nothing shows up on downloadable content and nothing in the game so far indicating i have downloadable content. I found out i put the game on a drive that auto compresses. I reformated and that solved the problem with the tooset but not the redeem codes. I still had no content downloaded in the game. I then tried to update with the patch. When I used the patch it said service not availible. Im also getting a runtime error every time i try to go from the game to the site runtime error 217. and an exception in my windows viewer error on control panel when i try to update.



unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812afb



Both the runtime error and the software exception come up every time i try to log on.



I believe that these problems are caused in the way i set up dragon age. Im not too disappointed since the toolset seems to work fine. I am alittle disappointed that i cannot download the patch as of yet or get the custom content i payed for

Because official game support is definitely not supplied by Electronics Arts "there" or anywhere else.

I cannot connect with game servers with my PS3 version. Keep getting the "servers temporarily unavailable" message. Tried repeatedly over several days at all hours with same result. Can't get any updates, if any. Can't get "free" downloads -- or any DA:O downloads, for that matter.



PS3 connects with Internet just fine, I browsed several sites to make sure.



Are the servers that busy or is this an "Undocumented Feature"?

I installed the game tonight, everything ran smoothly for the first time and I even managed to log an hour into the game before I stopped for a break and went to the DA's website. And there it is! Patch 1.01, so what the heck, I downloaded it and installed it and now the game won't even LOAD!!!! WTF??? Get your acts straight and test your patch before you release it. I'm now wasting time re-installing the game. Let's hope that it works or I'm returning the game

You guys are great, but you REALLY need to rethink your tech support relationship with EA Games.  They have so far shown themselves to be incompetent and unreliable. I sent a support request  6 days ago. I have not so much as received a single response on it. I also sat on hold to speak with "online live support" for 23 minutes, after which the EA person closed out the chat request on me! 

You need to seriously address this lack of support!  Pawning us off on them only works if they actually work to help your customers.

OK i'm running this game on win XP sp3, and i have realtek onboard hd audio. When I totally disable sounds game runs great over 60+ fps, but when i enable it game runs very slow and stuttery.

This game obveusly has problem with Realtek onboard cards or realtek drivers, any idea what can i do eccept play without sounds.
